"Of course", says Mr Squirryl

"Everything is going to be just fine."

Mr Squirryl has started training the lanky seedlings.

Mr Mouse has decided that the remaining Blackdance seedling should have a nibbled stem.

So bye bye Blackdance. The others are in fine health

Mr Squirryl is pleased and hopes that the seedlings are too.

But what if they are unhappy, Mr Squirryl?

Mr Squirryl says "Then they will soon let us know"

That makes me feel much better. Thank you, Mr. Squirryl

Mr. Squirryl is pleased that the seedlings are pleased.

Don't they mind being bent over like that, Mr Squirryl?

"Oh yes, of course they do." says Mr. Squirryl,

"They always want to grow upwards, but only the top bit really grows. The lower stem just gets thicker."

That's interesting, Mr. Squirryl

Mr. Squirryl looks up,

to see what the seedlings are looking at.

All I can see Is the sky, Mr. Squirryl

"The seedlings are looking at the sun", says Mr. Squirryl.

Then Mr.Squirryl looks down and sees the seedlings looking up at him.

A teardrop falls on a seedling's delicate leaf.

Are you Sad, Mr. Squirryl?

"No." says Mr. Squirryl, as he blows his nose,

"Quite the opposite."

I got it Mr. Squirryl, I was just getting into the story though, and didn't want it to end.

as they slowly recover from their latest training...

What can you hear, Mr. Squirryl?

"You." says Mr. Squirryl.

Mr. Squirryl looks down.

The seedlings are looking up at Mr. Squirryl excitedly.

Why do they all have funny looking leafs, Mr. Squirryl?

Are they going to die?

The seedlings are puzzled by this remark.

They stare at Mr Squirryl expectantly...

"Of course," says Mr. Squirryl,

"As too will we, when our time comes.

Our aim is to prolong our lives,

until we have achieved that which we desire."

OK, Mr. Squirryl.

Mr. squirrel is getting pretty handy! My art professor in college told me " at this point it would be unfair for me to give you a grade mcloadie, you obviously dance to the beat of a different drum"....I miss him! My art teacher was an aged Japanese fellow from Berkley, he sparked my imagination and taught me to stretch myself, I became interested in Japanese culture, studied the tea ceremony, and made the ceramic utensils required for the ceremony....do you know the tea ceremony mr squirrel? I would like to see your garden and taste your tea!
