Morty's Photographic Journal Of Dubiousness & Rickity Science - Blue Bud

Re: Morty's Photographic Journal Of Dubiousness & Rickity Science - Blue Bud

Shoot, meant to reply to this the other day lol, got busy getting wrecked lol.

Welcome, and thanks for checking in, I will have to drop into your journal soon. I have been keeping the amount of journals I follow low, so that I can actually participate and know what’s going on in each of them. Stopped myself from following 200 journals and not really paying attention to them all.

I suspect these are going to be monsters.

It gets hard to keep up, doesn't it!!

I have been balls deep in snow the last few days. It hasn't stopped in a few days now. So I haven't had much chance to stop and irritate the plants.

The veg tent is still going strong. These plants smell already. Could be a sign of a male in the group.

UA they’re coming along nicely. 5 minutes in a week - I spend that much mixing nutes before I even enter the room, every day.

Yeah Jordan of the Island, not the best customer service/friendly breeder, pretty sure thats well known to some lol. Has that “like it or dont like it, I dont give a shit, take your money elsewhere if you have a problem” attitude. Thats just the word on the street but, I have had multiple emails ignored, but I dont care as long as the genetics are good.

I like them because their crosses are solid, sell reg seeds, and realistic prices. Check out their God Bud x Green Crack (Gods Green Crack) that is some serious frosty stuff.

Wub-a-lub-a-dub-dub biznitches its time for a Rickity Science update!

Bit of a refresh for those with a memory like mine. Non-existent. Refer to the start of the journal for the full explanation. But we have given the plants a label, not a name, just a positive label. Give it moral and social support. Wouldnt ya know it, the trend continues, cant ignore the rickity scientific proof. Your attitude, your intentions, your words....matter.

This is Blue Bud #8, the one labeled BIG, and its big stalk.

But wait, theres more! I continue to spread their tips to promote growth. All of the plants are doing well. A few are ready for a cutting. One cutting each. Minimal LST this round. Topping and thats it. Been straight water and the soil doing the work. These indica leaning strains are gonna be trees. Fat nugs are in my future. I will take the cuttings soon, let them recover, then toss them in the flower tent to continue to veg until transplant to 5 gallons. Veg until they beg for flower. Then flip. At least another 4-6 weeks.

Nice looking shots there UA! Plants are looking really healthy and happy dude!

Thanks VS, the Blue Bud seem to be a vigorous bunch, and I suspect they are ready to go up to the 5 gallons. They are also ready for me to take a clone. The inner growth is thick, its going to explode when I top it, this is looking promising.

Morty's Photographic Journal Of Dubiousness & Rickity Science - Blue Bud

Alright ladies and gentlemen. I was forced to spend a few minutes today doing some work in the garden.

Here they are, looking mighty fine, last shot in the 1 gallon pots.

Some folks seem to think transplanting with geopots is a pain. Not when you work smarter not harder.

I use a gallon paint can.

Sit the plant on top.

Peel the geopot down and over the can.

Then simply lift the rootbound plant off. These are much happier than the last round. Sprinkled some mycos (biogold) on the roots.

I put some clean grow rocks on the bottom of the pot for extra aeration and drainage as well as little homes for the soil organisms.

Lastly, to dust some diatomecious earth over the top of the soil, I stacked a bunch of small 4" pots together and used as a sieve.

The 4 largest plants were placed in the flower tent. Which I wiped down with soap and a light bleach solution. I also reinstalled the scrog frame for future use. Also, based on my stoner thoughts, the basement floor is cool. So I put some 2x4s and plywood down to keep them off the floor. Adapt, improvise, and overcome. I will give them 24 to 48 hours to adapt to the change before taking a cutting each. I will use the cuttings to sex the plants.

Thats all for now, I did chop my last plant in flower so I need to update the Urban Achiever thread, have a great day folks. Off to work.

Three leaves per node . Sweet how many nodes do you have already . Good to top he soon to start the branching 50% more is a good start to monsters haha. I have one journal here and have trouble finding it hahaha . I love photography as well . But have not invested In camera gear yet . I have a Samsung j7 and I am not bad with it "in my opinion which may differ ".
Here are a shot if you don't mind me sharing.

Geo pots also has velcro versions of some of their pots which makes transplanting even easier than your paint can method (which I love by the way, very creative brother).

Subbed for the show bro.
Welcome! Glad to have you join us. Things will be slowly picking up S I just closed out the previous grow journal.

Very sweet looking bud, I like it, you can do quite a bit with a camera phone. They are forgiving. I counted 7 nodes on the Blue Bud but I will top down to the 4th or 5th node for the topping and cutting/clone.

A little late Urb but I'm here now
Welcome to the new journal Derbybud! I hope we can improve on the last one. Plenty of room for improvement so I think it can be done.
