Mono's Perpetual Soil

Never was the perfect visit he gave me.. I think the landlord knew and could smell the ganj in the backyard but I am an awesome renter. I'm sure he walked by my fence and looked over since he lives a street over. I really pushed it to the limits this outdoor season. I really got around not having him over here due to me doing all the work around the house, I don't call him to do anything I take mad care of this rental. I enjoy my privacy :) that doesn't mean he can't give me a 24 hour notice to come do an inspection. That would really be a bummer. I really like your idea of a video upload station through 420magazine, I have given it a thought but never pitched it as I don't upload videos :) That would really take away from making another account and keeping your privacy here at 420magazine, keeping it all related and integrated would be a great idea.. Think the mods would like to hear from ya Mono :) some reps on your room buddy, keep up the killer work :peace: CA

You grew outdoors, in the back garden? Certainly braver than me, furthest I have gone is in the greenhouse and I've pulled them before they began to flower for fear of the smell haha. Sometimes you have to push it to the limit when growing weed, and by look of your stock, you were rewarded for the risk my friend. :) Would hate for either of us to be put on the spot, with 24 hours to make a decision regarding an impending inspection. I agree with the video thing, 420 mag is the only site I trust to upload things too. Pictures are deleted from the laptop as soon as they are uploaded lol. I think I may have to raise the point.

i am beginning to see the downside to growing auto's in smaller pots. The 10 litre pots seem to be a really good size, plants are being watered with the same frequency as photo-period plants of the same age, and buds are forming nicely. The plant grown in the 3 litre pot however, is a different story. Overall it's pretty much the same size as the others, maybe slightly smaller but this could be due to a number of factors other than just the pot size. The main problem is it's needing watered daily, sometimes more often than once a day. Now, I have the time to do this with one plant. I couldn't be doing it with all 10 that are in the tent at the moment lol.

So in all, 10 litre pots seem to be the way to go with auto's lol

:Namaste:

So, I am going to have a space issue in the next week or two. I really want to transplant the regular plants into the 24 litre tubs a couple of weeks before flowering so they can fill them out nicely before the flip. The problem is, the flip is going to take place at the time or just after the auto's are harvested. Not too sure I will have enough floor space to fit all of the pots into the tent. Any tips on transplanting the regulars would be much appreciated, i.e; will transplanting then flipping the light's to 12/12 be okay, or do I really need them to veg a bit before flipping the lights?

:peace:

Morning Mono :)

All my Auto's are in 10 ltr pots too and they are bigger than my photo ladies in the same conditions and same size pot ! :)

I think anything over 10 litres for the auto's would be a bit of a waste since they have such a short veg time. Seems anything less than is a pain though lol

Transplant it bro ... I did mine from 1 pint plastic cups to 10 ltr pots when they are only like 2 weeks old ... It didn't seem to stunt them at all ! :)

And their tap roots had already hit the bottom of the cups too !

I have thought about it. But she is in full flower so don't want to slow her up at all.

Plus, would be pretty good to see if the smaller pot affects the overall yield of the plants :)

Ohhhh ok then I didn't realise she was in full flower at this point ...

Do not transplant as she wont have enough time to recover from the stress !

And yeh I can't wait to see the outcome ... I've heard apparently the more rootbound an Auto gets the bigger the fruits? ... Doesn't seem legit to me though :)

They all began pre-flowering at 27 days old. A couple have proper buds forming now so I would say they have finished the pre-flowering stage and the count down to buds begins. They have been showing signs of flowering on average for 7 days now, some less, one of them a little bit more :)

From what I have read about auto's the key is to stress them as little as possible. Really don't know how they work to be honest haha. You could well be right about root bound auto's producing more than ones with space.

My Lady Critical threw out pistils at just 19 days from seed ! :) :)

Minimal stress is correct there buddy ^^ ... They have a very short life span so any form of recovery would take up much needed energy out of flowering and into repairing herself ...

My next attempt I'll be using 1x 7ltr and 1x 5ltr along with some more 10ltr pots to see the difference in growth and yield ... Probably going to be using the same strain in the 3 different size pots too so I'll have a more accurate outcome :)

If anyone wants to try out an Auto flower I highly recommend getting some Auto Critical beans by Dinafem I think it was. She's growing at a ridiculous rate of speed ! :)

If you can get the girlds and their root zone out easily without any breaking of the soil and what not you should be good to transplant an autoflower Mono, you just have to be extra careful if you attempt to stresses me out thinking about it.. & if pots and head space and soil aren't a big deal for you(which they may be) you can remove the bottoms of your already flowering girls pots and set them onto the new pot filled with new soil, thus letting the roots grow deeper :) that can be a hassle though.

I will have to pop my dang auto.. I have a dinafem critical+ and you guys are making it sound so dang tempting :)

I think I will just leave it in the smaller pot for the duration of the grow, as a mini experiment on pot size for auto's haha. More because I don't think I would be able to do it without stressing her out :). You should pop that auto bean CA, they are turning out to be quite a bit of fun.

The HPS just clicked off for the night, so took a some pictures under the cfls...

Pineapple Chunk. Finally starting to put on fresh growth so I will be able to low stress train her quite a bit over the next couple of weeks :)

I have been doing a bit of research on the Sage n Sours I have veging away currently as they will be my first attempt at growing out and flowering a sativa dominant strain. Any tips you guys have on Sativa's would be very much appreciated :)

A bit about the strain -

Genetics - SAGE x Sour Diesel
Type - 75% Sativa 25% Indica
Height - Tall (?how tall is tall?)
Flowering Time - 9 - 10 weeks

keep them as low as possible before flip mate they go wild, im sure youve seen my cottton candy pics/ 75/25 sat/ind same flowering time they went crazy lol great get up n go n do shit stone

They are going to have about 5 more weeks of veg before I flip, got to wait on these auto's finishing first. I will top the crap out of them. Yeah mate, they were huge!!! lol I thought about sitting them both at the back of the tent and growing them out horizontally during the stretch to keep them lower haha. Sounds like a pretty good smoke, a bit of a change from the indica dom I usually grow with.

i went into my hydrohoarding space n managed to mix up a 20 litre root pruning pot for a mother with 7 litres a coco 7 litres of biobizz all mix and clay pebbles, will get a nice keeper of a mother in it as soon as i decide on a strain that i wanna keep on growing.
