Mono Grows Again

Well the super cropping the other day managed to bring the mother of berries into a safe zone below the light for the time being.

For the next big plant, a critical hog clone, we went for the 27 litre fabric pot. I transplanted her yesterday, and she is already making it look like a small pot. Inch of clay pebbles on the top to allow the roots to use all the coco.

The critical mass and northern light x big bud are desperately needing a transplant.

A little Friday night fun :).

I think I may have pushed the proximity of the light a little too far and stressed the mother of berries with temps that are too high.

I’ve raised the light another three inches (as far as I could) and I’ve sped up the oscillating fan in the tent.

Main top buds are long, spindly with very small, firm looking hairs...

Six inches below the tips we have regular healthy, fuzzy looking buds...

So, what’s the consensus? Am I right in thinking this is heat stress?

I’m going to give the mother of berries a couple of days to see if she puts out any more new hairs, if not I’m going to remove the strange looking buds and see how she progresses.

Managed to get some transplanting done in the veg tent this morning. Also training day for the big critical hog.

Given the issues with the big mother of berries, I don’t want to waste any more veg time with the clone from her, so it’s time to flower.

I’ve set up a 250 watt hps under the stairs in the house, temps stay ~19C lights off ~21C lights on, so it shouldn’t bring on any heat related issues so if that’s the issue with the big plant at least we will know for sure.

It’s a very rudimentary grow space at the moment, a light and oscillating fan at the moment, I’m going to box it off into a box at the weekend and get some proper extraction sorted.

But for now.

Work life has been busy the past week, so not many garden updates. Everything is chugging along as it should do. Purple #1 threw out male flowers so he/she has been scrapped. Annoying to say the least, but the same thing happened on all three plants.

Well, nothing to report, all is well in the garden.

The clones are now beginning to bud up well, and the ugly mother of berries is getting close to being able to come down... hopefully she will be in a harvestable state come the weekend, a week or so earlier than I would have liked, but the bud growth is so messed up I don’t think she is going to yield too much anyway.

The big girl to be is now starting to take shape, I’m also pleased to see some decent internodal spacing rather than the really compact growth the mother of berries displayed.

The two larger plants at the rear right are supposed to be autoflowering blueberry plants, but these are just over six weeks from seed with no sign of any flowering so I think I will move them into the flowering tent when the mother of berries is harvested.

Hi mono,
Looks good. Sending "big bud" grow vibes your way.
Looks like I'm here for harvest party!!
:cheer::circle-of-love::cheer:

Hey AngryBird, Hows things with you fella? Unfortunately there was no big buds to be seen with the Mother Of Berries, just thankful all my eggs were not put into that basket :smokin2:

Things are looking much healthier in the flowering tent.

I’m trying to figure out a finishing schedule, going on holiday end of March so need to shut down the grow, with the idea being I will run the big one plant grow during the first few months of 2019. Still deciding on taking more clones for another run in between.

The big critical hog is getting close to being ready to flower. I’m going to try and avoid too much excessive height this time around as it almost always ends up in wasted growth anyway.

So, the plan is to give her another week of veg so I can get some more training done and take some more clones from her, when the current clones have rooted their bigger pots and the big plant has recovered I’m going to run both tents on 12/12 and see how we go.
