Mites on side of fabric pots!

Pests are the biggest PITA. I had fungus gnats on my last grow and I tried everything that was non poisonous but nothing really worked. I had my best luck using neem oil and hydrogen peroxide. I never really killed them all. But I was able to keep them at bay long enough to harvest a nice batch.

I think if I get infested with something else, I may turn to actual poison especially if it's not too far into flower. Foxfarm makes a pyrethrin spray that would probably do the trick for you. You still have at least 6 weeks of flower to go, right?

Sure would but not sure I would want to smoke the plants afterward.
I don't know how old you are. But when I was a child I remember everyone used DDT to kill pests including big farms. So I guess I ate a lot of it on the foods that my mom would buy at safeway. I can even remember my dad getting DDT that we would spray on our backyard fruit trees. I also remember hearing about poeple using it to kill bed bugs. It may not be the best thing to ingest, but I don't remember ever hearing about people dying from it, and I'm still alive. But who knows, maybe I'll be dead from it within the next ten years.

I was thinking the same thing myself. I have had fungus gnats in both of my tents. I think I have it under control in my big tent with just neem oil and beneficial nematodes. The other tent is a constant fight. I was thinking of picking up a mild poison and spray as my plants are not yet in flower.

A weird thing I found was that I have a LED shop light in my tent and when the grow light is off the gnats swarm toward the light. I purchased some Safer EndAll spray - which contains neem oil; pyrethrins; potassium salts of fatty acids, I sprayed it on the lens of the shop light and the flies would land on it and die. Tried it directly on the plants and coco and so far hasn't knocked them out.

I'm going to do drenches and foliage sprays with azamax , green clean and nuke em. What's the rule of thumb with these? Start with one and every two days alternate to another so they don't develop resistance ?

So it's been almost a week since I drenched and sprayed azamax. Mites are back along the outside of the pots like before however this time they don't seem to move as much. I was going to wait another week before another drench and was also thinking about avoiding another spray because I'm about to start week 4 of flowering. Should I add another formula to the azamax mix this time? Or should I just do another formula altogether? Suggestions? Thoughts?

So I'm 99.99% sure I have identified them. tyrophagus putrescentiae. Anybody know about the relationship between these and cannabis? I'm not finding much info

I've not seen much specific on the relationship of the tyrophagus putrescentiae and marijuana. I think I finally knocked out my fungus gnats using something called mosquito dunks - You just float one in your reservoir and water with it. It is suppose to be safe around fish, birds etc.

I've done multiple azamax drenches and nuke em drench and sprays. They always seem to reappear. Not sure if they are causing damage but I felt like many leaves are shriveling up and dying. I know that's kind of normal towards the end of flowering but I can't help but wonder if they are helping that process speed along. Also I feel like my flowers look good but should be a little further along. Guess there's nothing to do but wait and see

Good luck. I've been battling those nasty gnats also. The seem to be gone then BAM I see one flying around. I've been spraying them with a food grade neem oil about daily and seem to have them under control.

SNS 217 on the parameter of the pot, soil and floor. You are early enough in flowering you could spray the leaves with need oil, it makes leaves taste bad to bugs. I saw DE several times, dust coco and parameters with it. I also saw nematodes...Do. You can water with Sns 209 and it will count your leaves from the inside out as well as make your plants stronger and drought resistant. Finally, nothing beats watching the lady bugs eat those dirty little cocksuckers! Spraying is passive pest management in my mind, lady bugs and nematodes are very very active pest control measures that don’t change the taste and smell of your plant. Good luck! By the way,SNS has free samples of everything they make and most of the samples will get you through an entire grow.

I'm now nearing the start of week 6 of flower and purple kush is an earlier strain (so they say) so I'm going to avoid sprays on the leaves. Plus I think the majority are in the coco. I'll try DE but I only see them on the sides of the pots (they are deep in the coco and don't come to the surface near the stem). I've thought about getting some ladybugs to do the job and maybe some nematodes for the ones deep in the coco.

It's time for a flush for sure. Your petioles are purple signs of Mag and Phosphorus deficiency. Mag will go from the tip of the blade inwards while Sulfur will start from the back of the leaf like the bottom photo. You have leaves curling up and down so that tells me that they are Mag def with the up curl, burned edges and purple petioles(also a sign of Phosphorus and Sulfur). Potassium is possible with the down curl. The irregular copper spots look like Calcium. The regular small dots look like spider mites. You can still spray the pot, coco and floor. If you see spidermite web in there AND are more than 2 weeks from harvest, you can spray NEEM. I know it isn't something anyone wants to do but an infestation can progress very quickly, I know from experience, hence degrade your bounty. Neem is water soluable and a good bud wash at harvest is already in order since there are mites present and good practice. After the flush you can give a full feed. Note that all of these deficiencies are normal a little toward the end of flowering as the plant is using it's resources to make flower to receive pollen, not happening there! Those hairs are long, you are going to have some nice nugs! Good luck!

I think the small dots you are referring to (on the small leaves near the bud sites where the long hairs are) are actually trichomes. Hard to tell through the iPhone cam (unless you weren't talking about those spots). I can look with a loupe again but I've been observing the trich growth the past week or so. Pretty sure I don't have spider mites just the mold mites on the pots but I could be mistaken. No webs so far but I did notice some weird black fuzz. Thought it might be mold but it was only a small piece could just be a piece of lint from laundry that blew in somehow. I didn't flush but I only gave 1/4 nutes so the water was mostly clear going in. Do you suggest I keep flushing today until I get clear runoff water, and then go back to regular schedule tomorrow ? Or is the 1/4 nute diluted enough? Coco coir is my media btw. Thanks for your detailed response it is greatly appreciated ! I have a few more pics I'm about to upload too.
