So I’ve been thinking about throwing a small HPS into the 4x4 haven’t fully decided yet but all I can find is these ipower kits on Amazon, are they a trustworthy brand?

The iPower brand seems to get good reviews.

Whatever brand you decide on I would recommend a 42" parabolic reflector with a horizontal bulb mount.

My go to store is in Canada and doesn't appear to ship internationally....

I’m 50/50 right now, considering another bar style light for now that’ll get me lights in all 3 tent that can flower, the blurple lights will attempt to grow tomatoes lettuce and a pepper plant, kind of a project my wife wants me to do and I’m fine with it lol,

Here is 2 pics of a candy kush bud from my 2nd run with the same bag of seeds, it’s what I’m aiming to beat and hopefully blow out the water, and then some current pics of her
And is my last seed from her, but there is a few clones of her in the clone tent since she decided not to autoflower

Well I think the candy kush clones divided they where autoflowers even though the mother plant did not show that trait, but they 100% are pre flowering lol

2 options I’m looking at HPS with upgraded exhaust or new bar style LED let’s see opinions!

My current idea is grab this one (yes like double overkill for a 4x4 lol) but I can run at 50% for the 500w I want in there, but also have options to go to 750w or 1,000w

Have been considering switching the big tent to 2x 1,000w HPS bulbs in winter and then in the summer running the LED’s for the reduced heat, in the winter I can use the heat (not only for the tent but I plan to duct the heat into the crawl space from the tent to heat the floors under the bedrooms lol)

Let’s hear some opinions if anyone has any

Also this is the inline fan I plan to use (might have to go 4” gotta check the vent diameter in the hood, but I’ll probably get 2 or 3 of these so I can add one to the 4x8 for some extra air inlet they run at 15w have all steel blade construction etc so I can pull through the hood with it and not worry about melting fan blades, plus 3 speed settings

Well I went with the Phlizon FD6500 for the 4x4, my game plan for next winter is to have a 600w HPS kit for the 4x4 and 2x 1,000w HPS kits for the 4x8

But for now the solo plant 4x4 tent has a new dedicated 650w light on its way!

I always need more I love trying new equipment and seeing it compared to my other stuff 2x 4x4 light kits would be sick in the 4x8… one day lol

Well all the girls say good morning!

Currently at 75% power at…. 24” from the light , any more and they curl away still, no major changes as far as the flip yet, kinda nice having one tent a month ahead of the other lol

I gotta say… I’m not one to hate on blurple lights at all, they’ve carried me through 2 and a half grows so far and have made it so I have never bought store sold bud, but you can’t see Jack Shit in your tent and pics are horrible lol but they produced this for me on my first 2 grows,

These pics are all past runs with the same lights just the leaf pics are the current plant in the 4x4

So went into the tent today and was looking at these leaves that where looking like they where dying, pulled one out, she might have a little def but then under a flashlight.. it appears that’s not brown it’s purple, god I can’t wait till the new lights get here lol,

I expected some of this run of plants to turn purple as most rooms are dropping to about 62f at night, took the best pics I could of the leaf with a flashlight but still hard to see it but then saw the purpling on the back too lol

First one is cookies Kush other 3 are monstercropped clones, no garuntee on strain besides kowing there was a white widow, a Cinderella 99 and a unknown “Congo” strain these where the survivors of 12 clones only 4 survived one was moved out of the tent and is smaller

Got bored, checked out a new country store, found some cool feed treys for cows… at least that’s that they where

Found a couple nice little elbows with tubing fittings, some epoxy, and a drill and some bits and… homemade drain-away treys lol $6 each once made lol, I’ll pick up some 3/8 tubing eventually but for now I’ll just put a trey in front of the drain and unplug it and let it drain then dump it, I’ll be tying all 4 together to a single reservoir that I’ll put a small pump in to pump up to a 5 gallon bucket for easy runoff removal then I’ll just plug the drains buckets fit fine and I have circle riser treys that sit under the buckets so they drain easy

Plus a few extra accessories lol

Not too bad looking! Plugged the drains securely so I can water and drain individually for now will probably put them on something about 2” taller though so it’s easier to put something under the drain
