Mikedin's FC-E8000 Run #2 Photoperiod Time!

Just a quick update after an ungodly run of overtime at work the past 3 weeks straight šŸ˜‚

Gotta really check over the girls tomorrow theyā€™ve been pretty much just watered the past 3 weeks I think itā€™s time to feed big time

Yeah Iā€™m on an 8 day stretch off starting today only good part about 12 hour swing shift and a TON of PTO lol

And todays update as well! My mars Hydro UV/IR light attachments came today. Plants get a rave for a half hour a day to mosh pit the PM off them! ā˜ ļø

IR and UV can be independently controlled, they will run all day with the FC-E8000and then alone for 1/2 hour after the main lights turn off followed by the dark period, have read studies that UV treatment without blue wavelength hitting the PM at the same time allows the UV to kill/alter the PMā€™s DNA as what protects its DNA is activated when it receives blue/cool wavelengths

Study shows a UV treatment followed by at least 4 hours of darkness is showing to be a good Pm control method, so letā€™s give it a try!

Not much to look at when the main light is on but once they are out itā€™s a different story lol always love my @Mars Hydro LEDā€™s just wish I had more šŸ˜

Was about to kick back but did some defol on the cookies Kush, I have a spiderfarmer heat mat I figured Iā€™d try to root some lower chutes with and also removed the legs off the last fan in the tent and finally got her hung up from the ceiling lol I hate stuff on the floor takes up too much walking /working space. Just some pucks and some rooting powder and in a little greenhouse dome

just gave them a peroxide spray and stripped some leaves that would block airflow, but besides that hereā€™s a show with just the UV, then just IR then both, I also spray down the floor with the peroxide spray and wipe it down each time I spray the plants, every 2 or 3 times I do the foliar spray Iā€™ll wipe down every wall, tops and faces of fans all the wires, everything I can reach with he same peroxide spray just trying to kill and funguses or bacteria that may come into the tent, after dealing with pm the last grow and the start of their one I think Iā€™ll probably do peroxide treatments in the plants at least bi-weekly even when I donā€™t have any noticing issues in the future

Oh and @Bill284 i already made a makeshift stand with 3 fan legs and about 5 zip ties, the trey is no longer directly in the heating mat šŸ˜

Thanks! I love my lights! Did some alterations as you can see but would love to find a 2nd set of side rails so I can swap between a 4x4 and 2x8 setup like I do now, tried all the support channels on the official website but didnā€™t get a response, any chance you could connect me with a place to buy the replacement rails?

Bedtime for the girls, they all got a top dressing today and a good watering, these monstercropped clones are doing decent now , might need to find a new space for the new clones to get some light so I can prepare to flip the main tent, foot do some lightproofing I noticed the zippers leak light I have a plan for that on all the doors Iā€™ll hot glue or fabric glue the door light flaps shut, I donā€™t use those doors anyways and if I do eventually Iā€™ll work them back open, then just gotta light proof the bottom air vents somehow and then Iā€™m ready to flip

Good morning my friend.
Looking good. :thumb:
Your yellow sticky traps, fungus gnats?
Put them by the top of the pots for best results.
Hope your weekend is going well.
Take care.

Yes I usually have them on top of the soil as well in each pot, took them out when I top dressed them, I replace them often, I get weird waves of gnats lol, ton for a week then none for 2-3 weeks lol

Hey @Bill284 I got some sticky traps down on the soil šŸ˜ moved my camera in the tent (shitty camera just to verify light schedules etc) and misted the clones, easy day in the tent

Look at all that bright green new growth since I out in the UV/IR lights, no idea if they are the cause but it started the day after the new lights got put in

Well hereā€™s the girls today, besides the fresh top dressing yesterday and then this morning they where watered with a neut tea I brewed up yesterday morning, check out the new growth on these girls there shooting up, I lowered the lights down a bit to encourge some node spacing before I get ready to flip to flower, did some more training on the cookies Kush Kush the clones as well. Then today is day 9 since the candy kush was flipped to 12/12 over in the blurple tent, leaf stance is dramatically changed and you can see some hairs starting to push at nodes, I also lowered the lights about 4ā€ about an hour ago and re-positioned them closer together, Iā€™ll let them stay like that for the last 3 hours of light today then check her about an hour and a half after lights tomorrow morning and see how she likes it itā€™s deceiving how wide this plant is, she has a 3.5ā€™x3.5ā€™section of the tent filled wall to wall with just enough room on one end for me to hang a ceiling fan from the ceiling and let it oscillate through the plant lol. she was also given some neut tea, but she is being fed with the fox farm trio (organic line) plus cal-mag and microbe brew but Iā€™m still adding great white shark myco she got a big dose today of myco since I had a bunch in the tea lol. But they are all looking very happy today, clones are still hanging in there, very droopy, they where very short clones so weā€™ll see if they survive might trim a shade more material off the leaves since they are so short (about 4-5ā€ before planting)

Well itā€™s not the prettiest but I needed to have a space to try and run clones and seedlings if Iā€™m gunna eventually have a perpetual harvest, so for now I present the makeshift clone ā€œtentā€ lol about 115 watts total between the 4 bars they did very well over my veggie plants last spring so they should do great here too, still have a spiderfarmer heat mat under the tray, I guess weā€™ll see if we can make some clones survive, itā€™s nice and warm in there itā€™s about 4ā€™x18ā€x20ā€ tall just enough for rooting etc itā€™s nice and warm i there but I put a 2x8ā€ heat vent in one end, the other end a 4ā€ flex duct with 2x bends that goes into the blurple tent in the light diffuser so the 24 hour light dosent affect the 12/12 in that tent

Now I can flip the main tent to 12/12 when needed šŸ˜
