MightyMoe's Secret Jungle: 8 Strains, Two Tents, Mega Crop & Vulx

Holy moly @Emilya ! You weren't kidding, the cages make lst and training sooo much easier!
Glad you have found the utility they provide! Your garden looks very smart and well managed in those cages, congrats! I have been thinking about the cages in my rooms... there are some plants that need 4' cages, and there are some well trained plants who can use a much smaller 18" cage... I have a feeling that when I start doing LST on all of my clones for the next round, I will be buying a lot of the shorter cages.

These were just the first cages I could actually find in stock for ages... the pandemic finds a way to sell out the strangest things lol.

These are 4' cages that I shortened a bit by bending the bottom prongs back up on themselves, this is also why my cages aren't very level....I was lazy and bent them instead of doing it right and going back upstairs to get my bolt cutters and a tape measure and doing it precisely. Instead I did it as quick and easy as I could eyeball it because I was hungry and tired that night...oh well. They will suffice as is this run, then I will be doing them up right.

The 18" cages sound nice. Would be good for a plant like my white widow. Im still amazed at how compact and short she is. Hopefully when she buds out, it'll turn out like a pot cauliflower!! :yahoo:  :goof:

Indeed though, I forsee these cages being a staple in my garden room from here out. My brother was even like "damn, those cages are so much better than 20,000 yoyos, or a ton of twist tie" first time he saw them set up.

Interesting play... I am curious how this works out. Good job!

I sure hope I didn't just mess up real bad! Only a little time will tell! FOR SCIENCE!!!:nomo::nerd-with-glasses:

@MrSauga what are your thoughts on what i did with the bud explosion and sweet candy? You think I'm on the right path so to speak, or should I tweak my thought process or approach?

Dropping the MC to 2.8g/gal seems risky imo for getting deficiencies. I suspect your plant will start yellowing at one point rather quickly from the lack of N. By dropping the MC you've reduced the other nutrients available to the plant as well, such as N, Ca, Mg, silica and more. Look at the images below at the ppm levels your plant is receiving at 2.8g(not including what you are giving with the BE and SC) and what they could be getting if you were at 4.5g/gal without the BE and SC. Having said all that, being this late into flower and you may not notice anything at all.

With 2.8g MC/gal:

So although you may be giving plenty of P and K there are plenty of other elements the plant will be getting less of. IMO you need to get at a comfortable level of MC and maintain that, then you add in your BE and SC if you want to after the plants have been in flower for a couple of weeks.
Its too late for the chem og auto, if it doesn't like the feed I gave it last night this morning. Its looking A-OK so far! And very frosty!
They'll be fine. I can't see anything that concerns me for overfeeding.

Thank you for that breakdown @MrSauga . I knew you would be able to shed some light on the subject for me.

My intentions when dropping the mc, while fairly uneducated I admit, were my attempt at not immediately burning the plant up, as I've heard more horror stories of the such with BE and SC than I've done research.... and gwhiz I'm such a big dummy. I always manage to forget they have that calculator on their site!!! :lot-o-toke: :lot-o-toke: :lot-o-toke: somewhere i had read drop your mc and add in the BE & SC very sparingly and carefully, and then again, I may be imagining that..... been reading sooo much lately. Feel like my brain is sizzling. So much to learn so little time!!!!!

Thank you again @MrSauga for taking some of your time to point me back in the right direction. I get ahead of myself sometimes! Lol. Trying to do a lot lately, not pertaining to the grow at all. Busy busy, no rest for the weary.:nomo::meatballs::hmmmm: time to regroup. Lol in other words load the bong!:bongrip::bong::yummy:

And an update on the white widow, finally got to her, thinned her out hard! Holy smokes boys and girls!! I know I keep saying it....but sheesh, dense little bugger she is! I'm a wee bit in awe, I pulled out all the guns on her too. Lst and super cropping. Got her spread out real well and trimmed a lot out from the bottom/middle right around the main stem, just some preflower larf patrol! Enough jaw jacking! Here's some pics of it!

No, I've seen that info spread around too. There is no need to drop the MC if you've never overfed to begin with. The BE and SC will work fine once into the flower stage. If you have signs of any defs before going into flower then it's best not to use any of the supplements as the problems will get worse. So getting to the right level of MC, which could be anywhere between 4 and 5.5g's before flower, is key and you should not encounter any issues.
Thank you again @MrSauga for taking some of your time to point me back in the right direction. I get ahead of myself sometimes!
Everyone wants to grow stellar plants. It's why we're here. There is no harm in trying and learning so don't look at it as getting too far ahead of yourself. If you make a mistake, stop and look back at what went wrong and make the corrections for the next grow. You're doing fine and the plants look great.

I did it!!!! Well, WE did it! My brother and I got the moisture barrier put under the new walls! Ugh, such a major oversight, sure made the process more interesting.....I really drug my feet getting it done too, it was a mental thing, I was dreading it because I knew it was going to be a bi*#h. So needless to say I feel like a million bucks since I finally bit the bullet and got it done @Backlipslide ! I may have to learn the hard way every now and then, but I learn! It just took a "jim pole" (the one with wheels), a "spud bar", two 200lb gorillas, and a fair amount of grunting and cussing for an hour! o_O:high-five::snowboating::tommy::idea:

I feel refreshed, excited, and ready to go ahead and get this project knocked out and move the ladies in!!!!

Thank you both for the kind words, feels good to get that mess up taken care of.

@InTheShed There are definitely times when a plant is under a net, or as im sure to find out fairly soon, in a cage, or strapped up with yoyos. That you wish you were a 90lb triple jointed philipino guy so you can reach all the little places that inevitably need trimming. Im hoping maybe the cage is the lesser of the evils in this case, as at least the plants can be rotated while still supported with a cage, where they would be stuck stationary under a net or supported with yoyos.

I have never had a case where the middle was too crowded in the cage to get to... to the contrary... the cage allows the plant to spread out a bit more than it usually would when I have it all tied up to bamboo stakes or trussed up in a twine corset. I love the tomato cages, the old fashioned circular hoops that get smaller as you get taller are my favorite so far, but I am trying out some of the new fangled plastic and steel triangular ones this time to see how they do.

a fair amount of grunting and cussing for an hour!
Lmao! I bet! The French accent came out in full force I bet!! :laughtwo:

I’m pumped for you to get that done. I bet it was eating you alive till you got it done. It would have ruined my month, nothing would have tasted right, never would have gotten enough sleep, even my poops were harder to get out!! But I think that’s because of my foliage intake;) hahah just playin!!

super happy you got it done!! Now we can move forward:headbanger: good job bro!!

Yes sir @Backlipslide it sure was starting to clog me up!!! Lol. Today I managed to get the day off, so I will be finishing both doors, anchoring the walls to the concrete, and running electric! Big day!

i'm sure it must of been a bitch but it's coming together Moe. not sure exactly what your plan is, but i'd say you are almost there. Elec, plumbing and hvac system next?

Unfortunately plumbing is something that will have to come in the relatively distant future (will require a lot of work just getting water to that building, there is water at the barn about 100ft away, will require digging/new water lines) @PK1 . The plan is, one half will be the new grow room, the other half will be me and my brother's game room/smoke room/trimming room. As far as hvac goes, im leaning towards one or two portable units that I can easily and simply duct in after the fact.

Today's agenda is getting both the doors finished, finishing the divider wall, anchoring the walls to the concrete, and either running electric or starting on the ceiling joists. Busy busy, finishing my coffee waiting on bro to wake his ass up!!!

sounds like a full day ahead of you. you don't have any water lines coming to the shop that you could connected a splitter too?
