I guess the good part about buying these seeds is that they're feminized. I wanted to do a larger scale grow with shorter plants, but money is going to set me back. As for nutes, i don't think i will be buying until my 2nd grow with all clones, and i'll know what strains i like the best and which are actually worth the nutes.

I will try out our sponsors when buying my seeds. I've always supported the supporters, and we'll see were it goes from there.

Ok.

I have 5 LA Confidential seeds in germination right now.
Wednesday i will be building my grow chamber. I plan on building it all out of wood, and stapeling plastic to the inside to build a sort of tent =) The base will be built out of wood aswell with a plastic liner for each plant.

Also, i will be heading up to the local nursery today to pick up some nutrients.

hey Mi, glad your back at it.

I found another great find on youtube video Jorge Cervantes: Grow Film it's a 1:40 min and goes over everything a beginner should know. wished i would have found this months ago

Thank you again space ghost. I stopped by the local nursery today and found some good nutes i want to try.

There are a couple Bloom Boosters that the owner said work really good for most plants, but i didn't want to tell him what kind of plant i would be using them on. Also, i want to use an air pump to keep fresh air going into my soil, but not sure how much effect that will have on my plant.

Also, i got my first vape yesterday. FOR FREE! Works perfectly fine, just need something i test it out with.

My plans for my build change a lot.

I can't do SCROG because i don't want to veg the whole time into the screen just to find out half are males. It would be hell trying to pull a male out.

My plan for growing is going to go something like this.

Veg for 1 month or until my plants are over 1 foot tall.
Flower for another month.
Pull males immediately, keeping one alive.
Clone my females.
Start hydroponics with my clones, and force them back into veg.
Let my clones veg for 3 months or longer.


I do want to shock the hell out of atleast one of each strain turning them into a herme, this way if i ever stop growing, i will have seeds from each strain.

As for my green house, that changes a lot as well. Prolly just gonna put some plants on the ground with my lights over it. Then drape some plastic over to control temp and other settings.

Take your time make up a blue print and start writing down what you need. Veg room 1st. be ready as bloom room needs to be ready 4 weeks after root.

You can check for males easier and less stress to the plant by taking a clone at 4 weeks and running it 12/12 or you could wait until the plant mature at about 8 weeks they will show you a sign of what they are. again less stress
and my understanding is you don't want a hermi for seeds, it will more than likely produce hermi plants. what they do with a hermi is pollinate a female and then the females seeds become feminized. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Spaceghost, you are a genius. Clone, then flower! I don't know why i didn't think of this first =) I did pick up some root starter for when i start doing clones.

My veg room is going to be very simple for now. Pots, plants, lights.
As for nutes, i plan on going the dead fish route.

Since my plants will be growing under T5 lighting, and i don't have the money to buy another, could i use cfl's to do the flowering with? I plan to keep plants in constant veg, and only flower 2-3 at a time. This way ill have a constant supply while my babies are still growing big.

Also, i know other flowers can cross pollinate. If i house other plants in my veg room, will they pollinate my medijuana? And if i have two different strains, and they cross pollinate, will they produce a new type of strain? Lets say since my LA conf is pure indica, and i cross them with a pure sativa, will i get a 50/50 from the seeds?

What are the stats on your T5 vs CFL plans. Perhaps it would be more economical to CFL the veg instead. I am also thinking T5 with CFL side lighting would kick ass. Your biggest requirement will be in flower. Unless you are growing trees in veg.

Usually a male is required to pollinate anything. A hermied plant can do this though if you are not aware. Breeding and crossing is a whole other level of conversation. Lets keep it simple at this point.

The T5's are (4) 4' 55watt white lights. They did an outstanding job growing coral under water, and i was hoping for the best with plants.
As for the CFL's, i don't know. Still debating on how i should go about it. I do have another T5 fixture that is a 6 bulb, but it needs to be worked on. I also have some VHOs that do a great job with coral, just not up to par with my T5s.
Depending on how i actually go about my flower stage, i just may flower all at once. Or i'll use the T5s for flowering, then just put CFLs over my veggers to keep them and still growing.

Now onto breeding, crossing, and hermies.
I know i don't want any males or hermies with my females. I know the outcome of that. But will a regular house plant/flower pollinate my females? I would like to know asap as for i have a bunch of house plants in my grow room.

And last but not least, i asked this question before and it must have been over looked.
In elementary school i added food coloring to the water for my plants, and it caused the flowers to change colors (color or the food coloring). Would this do the same with the bud? If i add some colors, will it effect the bud color? Would be cool to get some crazy colors in my bud.

And i'll be giving each plant a different colored water. It's a test i am going to really try out. Little more of an experiment.

Ok. The 3 LA Conf seeds that survived are now planted. One already 3 inches tall and dark leaves. I currently have about 30 more bag seeds in germination right now.

I bought fert yesterday. It's 12-12-10? Is that good for me plants?

I will take some pics today.
So far i have 4 LA Conf. with Only 1 popping up through the soil.
And last night i planted 13 Bag seeds that started to root into my germination station.

I'll warn ya now, my setup isnt that great at all.
And i will be buying some bloom boost from pbn when the time is right.
