MH 400 Watt DWC Afgooey & Master Kush Grow

damn dude that sucks about the mold! I guess you just have to take it all as a learning experience and go into your next grow with that little bit of extra knowledge. Are you going to run the same strains?

Thanx shotta, ill never know what the Mk Could have been like fully bloomed now because of my rookie mistakes.Im probably not going to do the same strains. I like the master kush its stinky, its good looking weed but i want to have mega yields with super fire (who doesnt) lol but im leaning towards ak-47 i want something i need incense, ona gel, or air freshner to cover up. And if i can find ak-47 seeds or clones ill probably fill my closet with them.

I hear you on the "super fire" thing loud and clear. Was your MK stinking through veg?

It wasnt a powerful type of stink but when i picked both clones up from my collective garden i smelled a tiny hint of skunky smell in the car but wasnt sure till i got home and had it next to my face when it re assured me of the smell i smelt in the car.throughout veg it got noticibly worse and It got ALOT stinkier in bloom.
 
Sorry to hear about the mold. If you are able, use a HEPA intake filter and an exhaust fan with enough cfm to exchange the air in your room at least every 2 minutes. If you can duct the hood to the exhaust fan you can remove heat load as well. You will need an end of line carbon filter eventually, but that can wait until you are into flower. DWC is difficult even for an experienced grower. You have done well for your first try!
 
cheif : so sorry bud , i know how much tym we spend on our grls and am proud you have enough sense to worry about the atmoshpere for your daughter , thats good .i was lookin at a seed bank you can go chck it out but its called the single seed bank , anyways they have an ak-48 out and she looks awesome im plannin on goin this route cause they will sell you single seeds or packs , so you can try a coulpe different strains or just get one and run it .chck it out and ill chck bck happy new year ..

I tried my best, im going to need a new fan system so ill start lookin into that. I dont want to run into mold again so anything to prevent it will make me feel better.

Hell yea thanx for letting me know. Single seeds would be nice to have instead of buying bulk. Going to check them out right after this thanx for that tip bud

Hey miwa nice to see ya again, ive had my rh at 20% it stays low in my part of washington. temps always lower than 83 havent seen it reach 83 since i stopped usimg my metal halide

My rh hasnt gone over 20% this entire time in flower.. ive kinda put the rh out of my head. I dont have the money for a humidifier and i dont think ill want/need one. 20% rh seems fine to me before the mold happened both plants were reacting great to the environment. They bloomed well got crystals fast and alot of them. I personally never understood humidity lol

I have an opinion on it... I noticed in my mesh pot i filled the hydroton rocks pretty much half way up the coco so this whole 2 months the cocos been exposed and ive had mylar basicially sealing the humidity of the water and drying top of the coco..i noticed the top of my coco was moldy all over once i chopped it down. I think i need to lay hydroton down all over my coco next time. Im guessing one of those things caused it im thinking

cheif i thnk your prob rght i havent had any prob runnin 20-30% rh and 80 degrees is high but not the problem you have good air flow in your room too rght ..i only use the mesh pots but i dnt use the coco in the hydroton seein as it allows water to just soak and not run off the coco , if you have buckets this isnt goin to wrk as you cant get any real run off , i could be wrong but coco is a run to waste medium hydroton is great as its just a more porus medium, and you say you use half and half thats ok but id try a grow without the coco .. you can get a 13 lb bag for 12.00 if you need info let me know ill send you the info, as well as a great free cataloge full of the top stuff helps me just to read this stuff

I got the clones in the coco and didnt want to translplant shock them so i left them in there. I only hand fed untill the roots popped down then i jever put water in through the top of the coco since. I havent had the chance to try the drip method and now that were on this subject should i be using a water pump to pump water to the top of the roots all the way through my bloom phase for better results or is the bubble bucket/air stones enough?

Lol its a tough one to diagnose. I hope i never have to see mold again. I know im going to check my mesh pot more often next time.

Looking like my root aphids are truely beaten. I havent seen one in a bit now. Since my last sns 203 bath the aphids all seem to have been handled.

Mostly on the leaves but the mold was a little on the buds towards the bottom. The top cola is pretty much moldless but the rest has some..i can even smell the mold on the lower buds. I noticed the last 2 mornings it was still alive i noticed the smell i woke up to was slowly getting harder and harder to smell. I knew something was up when i couldnt smell the plant barely and wouldnt u know i spotted thick mold on bottom leaves and a whole caked layer of ot on the coco.. next time ill do just hydroton and see how i do
