Medscientist's Outdoor Lab 2024

I finally sampled the last of the batches. My Outdoor tent 1st... I gave it a slow dry in cardboard trays in my garage. The humidity varied from 55 to 70%, with a fan just moving air in the area.

2nd is the Outdoor plants my friend grew in a sunny spot of his yard. I dried those hanging in a cardboard box in the garage. Humidity average about 65%. The buds were small so it dried a bit faster.

I will group those 2 together because the results were pretty much the same... eh! Before jarring to cure, they tasted green and crappie, and didn't seem very potent. After a few weeks at 59 to 61% humidity, the high was higher, but maybe a 5.6 out of 10, and I Completely wiped out ALL Terpenes. Mexican Brick Weed comes to mind? Kinda disappointed so I'll keep a jar of dry ice hash around to embellish the experience! Hash makes EVERYTHING Better!

Lastly, My SideChick! She was hung whole in the tent with filter at %, humidity in the low 60's dropping to mid 50s, and my small fan blowing on low in the lower part of the tent. She was dry to the touch, but you could feel she was still wet inside after a few days. I cut the branches apart and put her in a paper bag, closed overnight to redistribute the moisture. Over the next few days I opened and closed the bag until it settled at 62%. The tester bud had a slight green taste, but not bad. After a few weeks at 62%, the Buzz factor was closer to 8.3 of 10. The flavors were coming thru as black licorice on inhale with a subtle but noticeable skittles on the exhale. Very Pleasant and scores better than the Outdoor brickweed.

The Outdoor plants didn't have enough time to mature before Michigan weather went cold. But I learned and/or Confirmed ALOT of things that will alter my approach next year Outdoor.

I my Indoor tent, the ViparSpectra xs1500pro, but I need to work on Smell Control!

Running alot of ideas around in my head about my next Indoor grow. Which seeds, type of training, should I... this seems to be the second hardest part, 1st being the Journal name!

Sorry about the mixed results from the season but I'm glad you ended up with a plan for next time. Was it the early chop outside that left you with no terps? I would think you can't overdry at 65% RH.

Oohhh no way fr,that's gotta be so painful bro......how you making out tho?,you can still make hash or edibles ??? And yes,if you cure tf outta that unfinished bud it could really help bring out any flavors and potentially increased potency no matter how small. This might seem like a weird question but have you ever used steam n keefe to resurrect buds ? Steam your bud on plate in bath room,when nuggs are slightly damp to the touch sprinkle the Keefe all over the buds make sure it's very warm before applying Keefe,the heat helps the crystal s bind and The steam helps the keefe crystals bind to bud surface. Or just make some hash then some butter,then edibles. Are you going to start another grow ?what happened? A early frost/winter ? I can't even imagine your frustration...

Thats the shits about the outside girls not quite finishing off hopefully a cure fix's that a bit & or as you said maybe some hash, Glad the side chick turned out, so whats next for the tent? auto's?

Bro i had to run thru grow again,I was thinking I never saw anything about crop failing!?I thought something way worse had happened lol plants looked great. you got your next run indoor run in mind ?

It's ALL GOOD! Nothing goes to waste around here. And the Knowledge gained is Priceless! They went Longer than the Season, the last few weeks were 60°\40°, no more than 5° warmer in the tent. I think they may not have had enough time to develop terpenes?

I smoking doobs, and I have a couple Ozs of RSO sitting around, so I will lay a Phat line of oil on my paper before rolling and it will make up for any weed lack!

Or top the bowl with ice hash, and a drop of oil? There are So many options!

I am gonna start something... Soon? It's hard to start before I finish it in my Head, and see what I need to do, to get there!

It really is Special, and I HOPE it intensifies with cure!

Project Z is from Runtz and Zkittlez, and they say... The most abundant terpene in Project Z is limonene, followed by caryophyllene and linalool... I am not sure where the black licorice comes from, but I black licorice!

Group grows are fun! A sponsor or a few individuals, (I think sponsored are a ton of fun), grow one kind of weed all kinds of ways and we all bounce around to see how things go. We get to see the pheno types in the line and have fun visiting. I just did my first one with Purple Ghost Candy and had a blast!

You can test all kinds of stuff with this,do y'all do individual journals or do you all sync up and post on same grow,shizz could even do both!! That's such a great idea. Do any group grows happening now ? How do I search for these type of grows ?

I've been around for a while and this was the first one that coincided with harvest timing for me. I glad it did! I had a great time and the PGC is off the chart good! I don't remember how often it happens. Maybe once a year? Sometimes with several choices!

Whoa really only one a year !!! I'll def check out the grow links ty. I guess it can be hard to synchronize so many growers but I would think a group grow would be very popular ? There must be specific criteria tho for a legit comparison so maybe it's just such a big task to do properly and takes a long time ?
