McBudz - White Widow and Northern Light / Big Bud grow

McBudz,

Thanks for sharing your lessons learned, I've been following your grows to learn as much as possible before I start my own grow in a month or so.

I have a couple of questions for you:

Are you using the Dark Room DR150W grow room?

And, I just want to confirm the ability to cut clones from plants that are already into the flowering stage - it seems as though you did this, does it not effect the sex of the clone when you switch it back to the vegetative light cycle? (Too much stress, etc.)

Thank you. yes it is the DR150W. very good size IMO. Doesn't take up too much space yet has plenty of plant space in it. I'm working on putting a 12 site ebb & gro in there soon.

The clones should not change sex unless I really stress them out during re-veg. Keep an eye out. They will be going to flower in the next few weeks here. Got to get WW1 out of there. She is taking forever. I may put them under MH for 2 weeks LSTing then switch to HPS and 12/12. I want them to be as dense with branches as possible before they bloom.

The clones look kind of weird at first until they grow out. basil looking leaves and such. Once they get going they look normal except for the fact that the nodes alternate now.

Thanks Y'all.

I moved the clones into the hut with an MH 400 on them during the 12 on. I'll move them back under the T5 at lights out so they continue to grow. I'll probably have to do this for the next week or so until WW1 can be harvested and I can run the MH 24/0 for a week or 2 more then switch to 12/12 HPS.

Yo McBudz,

Your buds look mighty tasty - I'm envious!

Thanks for the answers to my other questions...now I have another one (I'd PM you but I've not created enough posts to do so).

I'm on a shopping spree and am currently looking at lighting systems, my question concerns ventilation/reflectors. I plan on using the Dark Room DR120 (3'11"x3'11"x6'7") grow tent with a 600W MH/HPS digital system. I plan on buying a ventilated reflector with a glass safety lens to help vent the heat out of the room. Will I need to add additional ventilation if I use my in-line fan and ducting to ventilate the light? I'm concerned that the air exchange won't occur efficiently if the air is only being pulled through the reflector (and not the room). Make sense?

Thanks again for your help!

Depending on what fan you use you can exhaust the whole hut through your filter/reflectors as I do. I use a couple 20 dollar turbo fans from target as intakes to offest the negative pressure caused by the exhaust. If I opened all the vents at the bottom of the tent I probably wouldn't need to but I'd rather not have to worry about light poisoning if I'm not around to close up the vents.

You should be happy with that setup. Sounds like a nice one.

I just reread what you said...

I thought about the same thing when setting my stuff up. So I my exhaust pulls air from inside my room (through the carbon filter for odor control, through duct, through my 2 AC reflectors, through more duct, through the vortex inline fan then through duct out the tent. In the summer will be out the window. rather then back into my house. This way you do not need two exhaust systems to refresh the air in the tent. I'll post a pic up later.

Great grow man, and excellent harvest. Cant wait for a smoke report! I'm about to throw my WW into flower, i really hope they turn out as nice as yours!

Schweeeeeeeeeeet hanging colas my good man. Job well done!
Hey what is it here, on the 1st day flowering?
And my clones starting day 1 of flower :)
I just transplanted my clones same size or so in the flowering arena, I wish it made sense for me to bud indoors. Let's keep tab on outdoor flowering time vs indoor flowering time. It is a natural 12/12 here right now. I say 55 days max for me. I will be posting up those tomorrow. Bud on McBudz. Clean tight system you have. Nice job :)~~~ Technology has gone a long ways with these tent units.

Yup They had their first 12 hour night last night and are on their second as I write this. I was going to let them go a little longer veg but the moms got really bushy so with 6 full grown ladies in there it will be tight. I will be lst'ing as much as possible.

I like having the tent given my current housing arrangement. It's 100% relocatable if I move and don't have to reconstruct anything. And it has plenty of space (about 13 sqft) for my personal needs. :) Also makes light proofing the flowering ladies simple.

the Big Stinky WW clones (4 of them ) should take about 56 days given thats what their mom went and and the WW1 takes closer to 11 weeks. Knowing that now I will modify the nutes for those clones in flowering. I need to go a little longer with veg nutes mixed in.

NICE Job budz........ What a beautiful garden you grew there.. That's they way to start off 09... Keep up the fine job man and enjoy those homegrown meds... Just fukin beautiful..... :peace:
