Max, if you do that, check it a couple hours later for humidity as the coolpacks cross the dewpoint and start to sweat. Not sure what your humidity is at, but it could jump as they warm up inside the tent... not sure how much though, different cool/ice packs seem to sweat different amounts.

Although I agree, this is Only an issue once the buds start getting thick.
My micro closet is 2" high right now. I got 10-23w cfls. Its 95f outside. If I put a single frozen 2 liter in the box, it still has a chunk of ice 8 hours later. Its the cheapest quick fix IMO. But Im runnign ghetto style.

BTW, put a towel under the ice trust me

I was thinking plastic bag and/or pot or something to put them in. But I'll see how much one of those cooler packs will run me.

You can also put blocks of ice infront of your intake if thats an option for you.This helps keep humidity down as well once you hit bud time. Im looking into small 'condensers' as we speak. Seprate from cool tubes an designed for grow tents. Another interesting item to add to my wish list

Yeh my flatmate had that idea as well to put that I front of the intake.

On another note. The intake vent before that was too strong was connected right on the tent but now with ducting etc to get air from right under the window the relative power of the damn vent now is so low I've put the duct that come out in the tent right onto the back of the fan in the tent so that there's a bit of suction coming from inside the tent as well. Once I get those led its all groovy though. I'm so looking forward to them. Depending on the return on investment of the led this will directly relate to which led we get so I was thinking of getting NEW - Diamond Series XML - 10W CREE XML - Advanced LED Grow Lights what kind of returns do you guys think ill see if I get this on vs the budmaster II 675 which is way cheaper but both are perfect for my tents dimensions difference is, is the 200-300euro worth the difference in lenses etc. I don't know I know that budmaster claim to have the light I mention be 150% that of a 600W hid. So I'm really having a hard time atm, thankfully I have till the end of harvest to decide.

I thought before when I was running my 600 of buying an old food freezer ...... Cutting a 4" hole at one side at the bottom and a 4" hole at the other side top. Intake fan at the left side of freezer. Ducting at the top right hole leading into grow room. Ice cold air
Obviously ud have running costs of a small freezer to consider but couldn't be that much

I wish I could understand the whole temprature thing cause if you go to Morroco or Leb or India the girls there have to deal with much higher tempratures so if you are at 27c I would be very happy. I had some burnt buds when I did a fruit spirit and some Diesel it only burnt them when they grew to close to the light, so I would think keep her low an dont worry to much about the temp I am going to do some thing I normally wouldnt do An post a photo of the first inndoor grow I ever did now this girl gave me a nice 35g an most of the time I was strugleing to keep her below some times ((f at the max I think 45c it still reads on my temp gage from then but this is how she looked like

Thanks yeah was thinking of getting a few packs of cool packs and tossing them in the room I mean its not so bad it's 27c but that's also with the light off during the day. So may pop like 3 cool packs in the tent at 8am then let them chill the tent for the next few hours.

Very nice jaga and I too get confused. A lot of the time these plants would be in blistering 40s in afghani morocco etc
But iv noticed slowed growth indoors as u hit 30... Strange

Yep that I am sure that you are right abut I wish I could post some jungle photos of ganja I saw a girl in rishikesh that was above the roof of the room we stayed in(any old hippies may know swiss cottage rishikesh) biggest plant I had ever seen the widht must have been more than 5feet All sounds alittle bit wrong looking back that is what I would have thought but the temp at rishikesh that year 1993/4? was around 35c? I don’t claim to know but I do believe all living creatures are individual small sparks from a massive big fire we have sparked from the fire an every spark retains its individual part , therfor each plant or thing should be treated as such individual (or creatur ) is individual, shit i am ranting again sorry

Ur not ranting jaga. That plant sounds awsome. Shame u never took a pik.
Maybe the strains that have deco loped over hundreds of selective breeding processes have simply lost the ability to thrive in the hottest of weather and have adjusted to "ideal conditions" that we try to offer them.

nah man i love rants their awesome. I condone and love it if people to it so rant away. i just want to keep it in the sweat spot. I maybe a bit paranoide etc but i try to do it in response to the plants when the temps are at around 26 or so then the plants are really nice and perky but when it gets a bit hotter the plants leaves tend to hang a bit lower as if to get away from the light a bit. But this tends to be when its closer to the time when the soil gets dry. I seem to be watering every 2 days at this rate with the soil being really dry on the 3rd day. I dont know if this reaction from the leafs is from drying out or from the heat but rather safe than sorry also i notice sometimes the leaves get brown dots or like on the edges randomly and then dry out.

Man there are some amazing autos out there in combination with DWC I am finding the only reason to grow a non auto would be for a specific strain that id want. i dont know we shall see where all this research takes me. And fack me there are a lot of different led lights out there on the market. But its really developing my feel for which light im going to be getting. getting excited also the contest has come to an end from the Chinese manufacturer and they are sending out 3 lights instead of 2 so should be good That seymour-buds guy is a dwc auto god he only does LEDs and DWC with autos anyone want to see the stuff he manages to grow from an auto will shock you most of them yield more than 200g a pop when he grows them.

1 grow he got 14.5 oz and he said take 2 oz off for stems lol so 12.5 oz from a 300w led in dwc and this was 2 years ago so im hoping the leds have came along a goood bit since then, hope these leds from the new sponsor are the real deal if so ill be buying some for sure

You know what they say "Once you go "LED" you never go back"

It is a bigger investment up front, but the cooler temps & longevity of lights make up for it. Not to mention they grow nice sticky buds! I wouldn't go with anything under 300w. Mine is 720 LED Watts (520w) draw. Uses 3w LED's. I am hoping to afford a lamp with 5w & integrated 90w soon.

I'm hoping to win Sara's Contest too.







Once you switch you will be really happy. The newer LED's (300w and up) really do a great job.
