Oven just found a bugI am thinking it likely is a result of the hot soil you had it in causing an imbalance in nutrients. Watch it and see if it continues appearing on new growth over the next week.
Only found one so far will neem oil do the trickIf it’s white with wings that fold over the back like a tent, it could be thrips maybe, but might also be nothing if there is only one
Alright matty, I've used neem oil to get rid of thrips before, it works great.Only found one so far will neem oil do the trick
This is one of the little bugger it’s whiteAlright matty, I've used neem oil to get rid of thrips before, it works great.
If your gonna have bugs then thrips are one of the easiest to deal with, they're even a bit thick,if you shake the plant a little they literally fall off. (Put plant on some old news paper out side tent if you do that).
You need 100% cold pressed neem oil, some soft soap (gentle soap like kiddies) and some warm water.
1 litre of warm water ( not hot just warm)
4ml of been oil
2-3 small (tiny)drops of soap
Mix together(shake to infuse ingredients ) in a spray bottle.
I put the plant in the bath and sprayed the whole plant, make sure to get underneath the leafs too.
Repeat in 4 days.
Also I put sand over my soil to stop them crawling from the soil back to the plant, you can get some glass stuff to cover the soil that cuts them if they try but I managed to do with the cheap version.
Honestly Matt thrips are easy compared to mites.
Yeah, just normal soap but soft ,not fragranced poncie stuff. I can't remember the brand I used, I'm sure it was for kids,as natural as possible. What kind of soap can I get from Tesco’s ??
