Martymcfly's First Grow

So, day 12 of flowering and I finally got nutes ... Botanicare Pure Blend PRO Bloom, I am starting off with half the dosage, so I am giving10ml/4L, I will up that number next week. Also got Big Bud, give 5ml/4L and will up that number too.

I need help in identifying if this is a male ... i know, not again!

Thanks for the help guys!

Bloom nutes started on plants 5,9,10,11,12,14, the others don't need watering yet.

I am contemplating removing some of the fan leaves, is this a bad idea, does it dtress the plant?

Looks male to me, but wait for others to chime in, too. :laughtwo:

I don't remove fan leaves unless they're yellow and crinkly.

I know some people do remove fan leaves for various reasons throughout veg and flowering cycles.

There are several pros and cons, and it's really a personal choice.

One nugget of wisdom Rico dropped on my journal has stuck with me though, "fan leaves are givers, not takers."

They can always be tucked out of the way or tied down if they're blocking a spot you feel needs more light.

Light Addict's journals are great examples of defoliation throughout a grow. I'm sure he'd be happy to tell you why he removes them when he does.

You have a lot of pretty green going on in that basement. :thumb:

Oh, I almost forgot ... I moved the LED into the same area as the others, beside the HPS ... and am thinking of putting a lock on the basement door to prevent any nosey in-laws or anyone else. I have to do this in super stealth mode, but I don't have the funds right now, but soon will! I start back to work on Monday so the money will start rolling in again ... first the tent, then the carbon filter and inline fan, oh, also a dehumidifier, I keep checking the local classified ads but to no avail, all too expensive.

Thanks guys, your expertise is always welcome in my journal ... :peacetwo:

I am a virgo and quite the perfectionist in everything that I do, including this first grow ...

So, I re-potted #3 today after confirming that she's female

Plant #13 (b) is a probable female, but another day or two she will tell me ... here are some pics from today, Day 13 of flowering, maybe 14, I already lost track, been toking a bit much these days

Down to 15 now, but I am certain that they are all females ... all I need is a hermie now knowing my luck ... I saw something suspicious on one of the plants this morning, will take a pic if I can, it would have to be a real close up shot.

I removed some of the not so healthy leaves at the bottom of the plants, and have been tucking the fan leaves under the new growth spots rather than cut, although some were so big and blocking so much light, only about 3 or so in total. Does this stress the plant?
