Mars Hydro New LED Grow Light Give Away

Thank you @SmokeSara and Mars-Hydro for the wonderful new LED product, and thanks to everyone who voted for me and/or posted your congratulations.

I predict that the TS-1000 will sell like hotcakes. And not just because it's a "TS" light ;) . The first time I plugged in an SP-150 I thought, "The only thing I would have added is a small reflector around the perimeter to direct the 'side-scatter' light downwards onto the plants." It's almost like your company read my mind when it produced its very next product. It'll be interesting to compare and contrast the two different models(*).

Another selling point, is the fact that the TS-1000 is reasonably priced, IMHO - at $109.99 and 150 watts, you are selling hot (current) technology lighting for well under one dollar (USD) per watt (about 73 cents per watt). That pricing is before any friendly forum discount is applied, too.

Yes... Your three newest lighting products (TS-1000, SP-250, and SP-150) seem like they'll be winners for sure. They're priced low enough to catch the eye of folks who thought some of your previous products were a little expensive, the technology is new enough to catch the eye of folks who thought your other products were too "blurple," and for those who are already happy Mars-Hydro, customers these newer products appear to present a natural upgrade path so that they can continue using lighting from their favorite LED company when they do feel the need to make that lighting upgrade to their grow room.

(*)I was finalizing my plans to launch a grow journal featuring the pair of SP-150 products when I was struck ill by... something (feels like Venusian Swine Flu :( ), and will do so once I am completely well over the flu. Watch my .SIG for a journal link to appear soon. While recuperating, I have been trying to think of a journal title, but have been coming up blank. Now... How about "1,000 Points of Light and Some AutoFlowers?" ;)

@TorturedSoul . You are an eloquent and thoughtfully member ,the comments above only solidify that. I am so glad you are chosen and hope you enjoy your new light.

After a short stint in self pityville I am reminded today of how lucky I am in the big picture and that sometimes I ask bob for too much when I want it and bob gives me nothing. He always gives me what I need when I need it!

Congrats @TorturedSoul grow well brother, thank you @SmokeSara and everyone who liked my entry. Cheers! :yahoo::passitleft:

I think I've passed the "fever stage," at least, although I'm still experiencing bouts of chills (and, ironically, periods of feeling like it's about 115°F that leave me soaked in sweat) now and then. Main thing is that my breathing - which was "poor" before - is pretty seriously affected. It's a RPITA when your lungs are full of nastiness and you cannot produce enough breath to actually expel much of it when I cough. And just in time to experience the early-Spring allergies that leave me coughing all day for a week or three.

The illness will pass (and, technically speaking, lol, is already doing so). It's like anything else, I suppose; it would have helped to have been 100% healthy before I got sick in the first place. One doesn't enter a vehicle in an endurance race when that vehicle is not running properly to begin with.

I just need a little tune-up ;) .

You'll know when I'm back to... normal? Because I'll post a link to a grow journal at that time :p.

Are they stocked in Canada yet?...if not, what be ballpark shipping time?...cheerz...h00k... :hookah:...

Hope you will feel better soon. Take care of your self and have a good rest. :goodluck: :circle-of-love:
Many of us expect your update of grow journal after you regain your health. :circle-of-love:

It will be in my .SIG at the bottom of my posts, but I will be sure to post a link in this thread and your main one. I will probably try again to figure out how to properly size an image for my avatar at that time, too.
