Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

When the warranty expires does MarsHydro still offer replacement parts to repair them? I have read here several times that the lights share the same led's and drivers, is this correct? If so what is the difference between old style and MarsHydro II? My old style are 120 x 5 I see many buy 60 x 5 also, these are old style but built in 2015?

I am sure that they would. They are caring the parts in the warehouses now. Send a PM or an email to Sara. She should be back any day now. :peace:

I just purchased a 300 from ebay too for a spare light/parts if needed. It will be here later today. I figure if a driver goes out or something I can use this light, or swap a part and wait for the new part so I have no issues. Well worth 67 bucks for piece of mind.

I look forward to seeing your garden. It will be interesting to see , its uncommon, it will teach us/me a few things.

i want to add that starting with the lights at 24 inches and moving them down to 18 inches in 4-5 days would make best use of the lights par light.

Having the LED's mix their colors is less important then getting max panel output. As long as the plants get the light spectrum's they grow , mixed perfectly or not.

If you think about it thats how HID lights work , HPS for red or MH for blue.

On my plants I have the lights between 12 - 16 inches some leaves have red light on them others more blue , the plants are growing very fast. much much faster then having the lights at 18 to 24 inches.

the plants are healthy as well.

Tomorrow I will post a current picture.

Good info. Experiments will ensue! I will try to post some before pics today and then the results to follow. I believe I am going to purchase some cheaper but seemingly well liked led pannels for testing as if the testing is a flop I don't want to be sitting on great lights that I can't use, and if the experiments-are promising then I'll drop some coin on Mars hydro pannels. I think these test could open the door to some growers with limited height that may be able to work wider rather than taller like myself. Itching with excitement now. Getting new toys is always fun

Have a look on ebay for the cheap Mars 300w panels , they sell for $67 and use 48x 5w leds. With these you get best quality / output for the dollar.

I am using the Mars old version panels that use 100x 3w leds with great success. The Mars 300w 48x 5w led is the updated version of my panels.

Sara when your back. I would just like you to no I'm thankful.
I'm thankful that your company exists selling mid range led lights at low end prices. It means that average hard working family guys like me can get in on the led market. And these Mars 2 series lights are frikkin awesome! .

Iv just completed my first full led grow and man am I happy with the results!
I grew 6 auto think diffrents in a 120x120 tent with a single Mars 1200w panel and I achieved 12oz 7grams in 10 weeks flat seed to harvest

My previous pb was 9oz with a 600 watt hps and 6 fast n vast auto's again 10 weeks.

Next run I'm throwing in the 900 watt model aswell so hoping for good things.

Thanks again Sara. Mars hydro top led

Here are a few pics of the girls that are under the 900. I took them out to see better.

First is the Strain Hunter Money Maker. She only had 4 or 5 weeks veg from seed. If I like it I will pop another and let it go longer.
