Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Good point always look for the obvious first. My friend had his temp/rh meter sitting on top of his light and couldn't figure out what was rattling he thought he had a fan going bad. Moved his meter to a shelf problem solved. We figure the small amount of vibration from the fans was just enough to make it rattle. I suggest not putting anything on the top of your led with fans in it for this reason.

Hello Sara I see the Mars II 1600 has a 240V draw listing on your website. Before I put 240 Volt cords on these I just wanted to check with you and make sure I am not going to destroy the lights. Thanks!

I got this question answered by someone else!

Everything is looking good with the lights however the hangers leave a little quality control to be desired. None of the metal collars were crimped and the cables just slide right out of them.

Some of the pictures on this thread are breathtaking, some sick sick grows!
Yeah Amazing grows
take in the low price point , 5 watt diodes , apparent reliability of the product , fast shipping , simple heat control , Sara's excellence customer service , so many successful grows posted here @420 , makes the Mars II from TOPled very attractive to new growers & the old growers tired of heat issues of HPS

I am hoping to be able to just run CO2 to deal with the temp if it stays low enough instead of AC.

I'm gonna use mine as supplemental greenhouse lighting so I can run crops all year long , the 400's are attractive to me as the smaller over head footprint , flexibility to aim multiples anywhere with ease ,
My thinking is with the multiple 400's if there ever is a failure loosing one is not a major hit in total light on the plants & the pocket book , ( while the TOPled warranty is three years , any failure is a hit on current production even if it's fixed ) more units means a lesser % of any such loss on a single 400 over a 1600 large single unit I'd much rather spread out the risks a bad unit with multiples , If you get my drift :geek:

Here are my two Top LED Panel lights. The grow closet is never hotter than 83 or so. One time it did, but I had my CFLs on in there.

I love my lights and plan to buy more. Sarah is a sweetheart, and not one bad thing to say.

Have you also accounted for the increased light penetration from the larger size LED light panels?

Light penetration is Not an issue at all , even on cloudy days the GH gets plenty of light
length of day & I can't control the neighbors outdoor lighting at night ( yes It's really bright he's got HPS, MV , MH running all night )
so 12/12 is out most of the summer . 32' x 22' GH is Too Big to cover/uncover twise a day
my plan is run always at 13+ hours minimum 365 days a year it's heated as well cooled by swamp cooler in summer
I need the Extra PoP from the 400's for when the sun not at it brightest & the winter morning add on hours
ON really sunny days when @ points of the day where the GH is full lit up by the Sun the lights would be off

(I would Guess I need to start a thread :) )
