Is you 250W HPS too powerful for your 2'x2' tent? Will it burn your plants?
 
No its perfect unless outside its more then 25 degrees Celsius( and thats not alot here in the Netherlands). Then i use CFL if they stress too much. But in the future bigger tent and MarsHydro leds!!

Will your CFL produce less heat than HPS?
 
Yes i replace it for a 150W CFL and it gives off ALOT less heat. Also i put the lamp way closer then.
When i used CFL once, the plant grew into the light and still didnt get burned
Unfortunately also alot of less light...But its better then grilling the plant.
It hardly gets that hot here tho.
I also swap out bulbs MH in grow and HPS for bloom. Thats why i cant wait untill i get the Pro II Cree.
Just flip the switch! And less heat in the summer. :cool:

ProII Cree can produce less heat , when you use it, your plants need less nutrient and less water than HPS and need more Mag and Cal than HPS.

Hey Sara, I noticed the new lights on your webpage, and I was going to ask if they were to replace the 300 and 600. Are people saying they dont like them? One of my Mars II 400w is on it's last leg, so I'm considering one of the ECO models. What is different about these vs the old white classic model? Is it the LED chips? :) I like the case and square shape.
