Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Yayyyy, that's nice:bravo: when only turn the growth switch on, the actual watt from the wall is about 350w, both switches on will about 740w, so during flowering in 3x3 grow tent, that will be scary.

Wish I had some plants to grow, had see a proverb before: if you want to happy for a short time, get drunk; happy for a long time, fall in love; happy forever, keep growing:tokin::tokin:

Actually the 320 seem to work in the 3x3 tent Vera. It didn't get to hot. I have a very big exhaust fan.

But i must admit flowering will be scary. It's a lot light in such a small space. Let's think of it as an experiment. This grow space is not important. It's just mother plants to get me my 32 clones for the big grow in November.

It's nice to have room for experimentation. It is only two of my grow spaces i see as important. Main room and the big mars hydro tent. That's my factories. The other 4 spaces are for fun and experiments

Right, it's weird, so we want to figure out a solution. :high-five:

I know. I really appreciate that mars hydro takes the time to try to find out what went wrong with my power supplies. It's great how willing you are to go through these things to improve your products.

I find it strange it's always the power suppliers for the blue sections. Because the power suppliers for the red sections seem to be identical

Happy growing with the 320:cheertwo:

With a perpetual garden, 4 plants in flower at a time 2 weeks apart, I was getting 3-4oz every 2 weeks with a Mars 900. I just up graded to the 320. It has been about 2 weeks and buds are looking bigger and frostier. Give me another 4-6 weeks to see how the girls start performing under the new lights. :circle-of-love::peace:

Thank you Deville:circle-of-love:

anything from 400-900 grams depending on strain, skillset, training methods and so on I would guess. Used to get 300-350 from my 160 in hydro without being especially experienced.

There is no big difference between HPS and LED when you use them, just remember, during seedling:keep the light 24"-30" above the plants, Veg: 18"-24" above the plants, and Flowering: 12"-18" above the plants. This is our recommend hanging distance for your reference.

Thanks for the numbers. I've been at it for close to 10years and have some good experience, just never used leds and sick of hps. Btw I love your journals man, you're one of the mai reasons I've decided to go with mars. Also COfinest videos have made me want to switch for a while now. Any tips you recommend when switching that differs from the usual hps grows?

Hi Celiac, so sorry, I can't send you private message, your account is new, only when your posts over 50, I can send you private message.
You can email to info@mars-hydro.com

can you message me privately about ordering some lights?

Thank you keep us update, sounds nice!

What strain you gonna grow?

Sara

As promised, I am finally starting my build. A little late I know (health) but finally happening. The Mars tent is very good quality & easy to put together (if you bother to look at the directions). It is thick enough that I don't have to worry about tears etc as I throw it around. The Epistar 160 seems to light up the 2x4 space very spectacularly. So all is well!

I am working on the plumbing but I hope to start my seeds this weekend.

I have a stupid question. I know hps gram per watt but with led do you go by the watt pulled from the wall or the watt of the light? Been meaning to as that

My thoughts lean toward watts from the wall for your gram/watt threshold.

Guess Celiac means watt pulled from the wall

I honestly don't know. There are some companies with fantastic claims. Like replacing a 800 watt with only 150 pulled from the wall. I Do not know what to think .

Would love to test those claims

Cob update. They are apparently growing faster than I can remember from last time I grew this strain.
