Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

As stated by DeVille. I would place a call and get the ok to open the unit. Don't want to void any warranty.

Never heard of mars denying a warranty from opening their products... more often than not they try to get the customer to open the panels to inspect before sending them back as it's expensive. They aren't hard to take apart at all just be careful and take your time... of course wait for sara to be sure though I don't work for the company after all so take what I say with a grain of salt company policy wise. but I'm just giving recommendations on how to keep the light ticking and of course check the panel up close if he's worried something's wrong with it.

:circle-of-love:It's our honer, hope everything will be fine soon.:high-five:
Really? Ok,i will PM you your receiving address again, you can check if there was something wrong.Hope you can receive it soon.:high-five:
Thanks Sara. You and Lucy sure are a great help when a crisis strikes. We have made a plan together so I am much calmer now.

There is something weird going on with the postal services here Sara. The COB should have been delivered already on Monday. I was not home on Monday and they claim they have been here and put a note on my door. But there was no note on the door. So I checked FedEx page, and I think they have been trying to deliver my package at the wrong place or something.

Anyway - I gave them my phone number and they will try again to deliver the COB on Thursday :) Will take photos then and post

The custom will check all goods very carefully,so sometimes they need long time to finish the custom clearance.
So usually we will have enough replacement parts at our warehouse, only when our international warehouse do not have stock for the parts ,and the next shippment didn't arrive yet, then we will arrange from our China factory.:Namaste:
Yes,the Mars Pro II series it's easy to fix, usually do not need to send back to our repair service,it will also save lots of time from the delivering to/from our repair service.:bravo:
Remember when they used almost a month to deliver my 100 watt power supply? Mars Hydro sent it the same day, it entered my country the day after and then got stuck in customs for 3 whole weeks. I am so happy that I have a spare lamp now I can take parts from whenever something goes wrong :) Thanks for letting me take parts from that lamp to fix the others. It would have really killed my grow if I had to send the lamps away.

It's gonna be a long day though :) I have to open 3 320's - Think it's gonna take a while. Luckily tbey're so easy to fix.

Sometimes the delivery company may made some mistake,we will track for our customer till we figure out what happened.:high-five:
:circle-of-love:As our international warehouse is Third part service warehouse company, they will arrange package for us.
1 They will choose the delivery company for us,usually the default delivery company is UPS,USPS,Fedex...they will choose the delivery company according to the package weight and cbm.
2 When they choose the delivery company, they will also reference the delivering result:if the goods arrive at customer safely? did the package damaged during delivering? did they deliver the goods within the effective delivering time range?
As they are Third part service warehouse company, they will choose the delivery service according to the comprehensive conditions.:high-five:
For sure, customer can choose the deliver company which they wanted, but customer may need to cover the extra delivery charge(such as they want overnight delivery service):high-five:
:circle-of-love:We also will collect ideas of which delivery company our customers would like to use,and we will negotiate with our warehouse service.:high-five:
I've read that they use a lot of private contractors in their delivery system and that they'll do things like that (claim they left a note when they didn't even stop) because they're pieces of-- err, I mean due to their unrealistic workloads, lol. IDK. I've always had better luck with UPS and even USPS than FedEx, which I stopped using several years ago. These days - for what little amount of packages I actually get - I'll select "anything else" as a carrier if given the choice and, if not, shop somewhere else. But that's just me. I've read of others occasionally having issues with UPS (and once actually caught a driver pitching a package onto the porch from about five feet away on the sidewalk :rolleyes3 ) and have also read of postal employees who've kept the things for their own use that they were supposed to deliver, gotten overwhelmed and stuck a portion of their load into their two-car garage (over and over until they eventually filled the garage), or just said screw it and dumped part of the mailbag's contents off the nearest bridge. So I guess it all depends on the specific people that you and your package comes into contact with.

This might be the slowest post I've ever made, lol. I was sitting here all frustrated, having given up on trying to fall asleep (as it's almost dawn here) and was thinking about rolling myself a... recycled cigarette out of what's in the ash tray and mad because all I had were some RAW papers that I'd given to my brother some time ago (and that he finally got around to giving back and telling me not to give him any more of them :icon_roll ) when I remembered that a friend left a pack of Bugler papers in the shed last time he visited. So I had to pause the posting for a minute or three and go outside. Hope the neighbors didn't mind - but sometimes you just need a cigarette too badly to waste time getting dressed. I did notice that my gas can was still sitting on the edge of the walk out by the road. Bummer... I'd left it out in the rain and it got water in it, so I threw a handful of sugar in it and urinated in the thing, then set it out there hoping that whoever stole the case of paper towels off my front porch would steal that, too, and I'd know who to beat on by seeing which neighbor suddenly needed a new engine for their vehicle. But no one stole it and it's been sitting there for two full days now. I'm hoping this means the thief tried to steal from someone else, got caught, and ended up passing through a few pigs' intestines, lol, but IDK. What I do know is I've got to figure out to do with some really contaminated gasoline <SIGH> . Has everything in it but ethanol.

Err... Rambling again, sorry.

Hey, SmokeSara, do you give customers a choice of shipping companies, or is it just whoever offers the lowest priced contract? If the former, I'd consider that a selling point / feature. As mentioned, I've had much anger from dealing with FedEx - but someone in West Bumf*ck might feel the same way about UPS (et cetera).

:circle-of-love:haha,multiples light will be easier to install, and will cover the growing space nicely,it's good choice:cheer:....but big lights will give you big coverage.haha
The Mars Pro II Epistar80 with U-connector,did you try it yet? :cheer:
The COB light is a small light, but i tested it in our grow tent,it can cove big area, later you can try it.:high-five:
As I said in the other thread -I really wish I bought 8 80's instead of 2 320's because of that light system I'm so damn eager to try. I also think the COB would be a perfect light for such a growing system, but way to expensive for me to fill an entire room of them

:tokin:
Fuck! I feel your pain. I have a 200 liter tank here filled with a mysterious chemical substance I inherited when I bought the property. I've no idea what it is but I don't want to touch it and I don't have the heart to empty it in the river as I kinda love this fucking planet. I have no idea what to do with this barrel of mine, I just know it's a disaster waiting to happen if it should rust and go leak

What I do know is I've got to figure out to do with some really contaminated gasoline <SIGH> . Has everything in it but ethanol.QUOTE]

:circle-of-love:hi Darkscotia,i will check my inbox, sorry for the inconvenience.I already talked with my colleague,i will confirm with them again.:high-five:
Sara your pm inbox is full. I'm still receiving emails 2 times a day from sales department. Please remove my email from sales as discussed the other day. When I want to buy a light I will contact someone directly don't need emails everyday. Thanks

:circle-of-love:hi shoupadupe, did you try to light up the light? Is the light works normal?
If only the glass cloudy, you can open the light to clean with some soft fabric. We have video to show you how to open the light,if you need,i can PM you a link. But as you said only half of the glass are cloudy...so i can not tell you now....
:Namaste:Could you post some pictures of your light? I can check it better:high-five:
Hey everyone. I have a question. I have the Mars II 1600w. I only used it for 1 complete grow and then put it away. Yesterday I brought it back out and started setting up my grow again I noticed like half the glass on the Mars led is very cloudy and cleaning it did nothing. Is this normal after just 1 grow?

:thanks:Thanks for your help.Yes,only the light to clean regulary will be good for the light, but before open the light better consult with our service.:Namaste:
As only half of the glass are cloudy,so need to see the picture to figure out the problem.:high-five:
Maybe open her up and see how the diodes look up close. See if the glass can be cleaned inside by chance and also it's good to get the dust out anyhow so spraying air in the cracks and crevices and whatnot may help prolong the life. Also is it like a headlight fog? No idea if it's the same or not but they sell products to use on foggy headlights that works amazingly for what they are intended... no idea if it'll work on an LED panels glass or not lol.

:circle-of-love:When you took off the light, did you put the light in a dry place? I mean with low humidity:Namaste:
No worries,we will help with it.:high-five:
Kinda like the haze on a headlight. I'll open her up later and see. Just seemed like for that much money it should last much longer then one grow.

yes,if you need to open the light, please contact with us first,to make sure everything is ok:goodjob:
As stated by DeVille. I would place a call and get the ok to open the unit. Don't want to void any warranty.

:circle-of-love:thanks,yes,we will try our best to help Mars-hydro customers:high-five:
But still,if any customer need to open and clean the light, should contact with us first,we will help them with that,in case if there are anything wrong.:Namaste:

if all the diodes still working, then you can try to clean the glasses. Please send some pictures,we can help you better.:high-five:
All the LEDs on the light all work. Just half of the glass has this haze on it

Yes I did. I am thinking about perhaps using them as side-light in my main-room after I setup my 32 plant hydroponic system. I have a great plan for the main-room. I want you to imagine two 320's and four 80's over these two tables. Also the Mars bars will most likely be used in this room. So it will be a room with a total pull of 2600 watt of misc Mars-Hydro lamps :) Mostly the pro-series of course. I am not certain yet how to do it. That means I would have to use the spare 320 in the Mars Hydro tent and then I won't have a spare anymore. You know how good it is to have spare lamps because sometimes shit happens.
So I am not 100% certain I will use the 80's in the main room. But it would be cool!

Here's the scetch of the main-room for the next planned grow. Will do the first run in November.

It also means another thing Sara - It's going to become even more difficult for me to keep humidity down. I will have to purchase a decent dehumidifier to ensure the lamps don't get damaged. I am very thankful Mars-Hydro is willing to perform these tests for me to see if they can figure out what happened to my lamps. That is really good customer service -Thank you!

Allright!

I received my COB today. What a light! It completely blinded me for a moment. It's so damn bright. What I noticed is that the light also has a great spread. It covers much better than the pro series lamps. I am gonna put it up in my main room as a substitute lamp while I fix the 320's

I can finally answer the question I asked you about a year ago @SmokeSara - I have successfully rooted clones under Mars grow-bars. It took 12 days before fat white roots were sticking out everywhere. By the look of it, the roots have been there for a couple of days already so I would say maybe a total of 10 days to root clones under the bars. Very very pleased with those results. These results were in peat pellets. Also doing a test with rockwool right now to compare rooting time/development etc.

here's my "cloning station"
