Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

yeah,i also think it's the soil's problem,i confirmed with him that PH or RH...there are not big problem with that...also other friends suggested he should change the soil.:high-five:
I do not know this soil, but I checked the producers homepage and it's full of weird shit I don't know what is and look at this:

"Not suitable for
Don't use for the propagation of phosphorus sensitive plants (it contains boosted phosphorus).
Use Osmocote Professional Native Potting & Planting Mix instead
Don't use in hydroponic growing systems or ponds
Don't use on lawns - use only specifically named lawn topdress soils on grassed areas"

What do you other growers say? Where's the perlite? and check out this description:

  • Wetting agent added to ensure uniform wetting of mix and prevent drying out
  • Coir creates the ideal moisture and nutrient environment - never too wet or too dry
  • Water crystals keep tender seedling and cutting roots moist

What is a wetting agent? I use water, that's wet enough for me.

I don't know if the soil is good or not, but I do suspect it's too "hot" for this poor poor seedling. Get it out of there and into something that's not full of mysterious chemicals for improved whatever

we have growers are using Mars-hydro Grow bar,the room temperature will raise up a little. One of our customer are using our 4pcs Grow bar 48-120cm,without the grow bars, the temperature around 20C-25C,witht he Grow bars temperature around 28C-29C.But it will also depends on the exhaust system in your growing room.:high-five:
I will ask more growers who are using our Grow bar right now.
I'm wondering about something Sara. Those grow-bars - Do you know anyone using them inside small closets? Are they generating much heat?

Since the autumn is approaching I'm wondering if I should go into a "Flower em all" mode and simply put away a clone of each strain into a tiny locker just to keep the genes living, and then flower all grow-spaces before the winter. How many bars needed to keep 5-6 clones alive 3-4 months?

Then this last question is an open one - input would be appreciated from everyone.

Would 1L Air-pots be a sufficient size to keep the clones alive the given amount of time? 3-4 months?
The next size is 3L which will be a little big in the locker I had in mind

:goodjob:When the plants grow bigger, you can flower them with the Reflector96 on the top,and move some CFLs at the bottom.:high-five:
They got enough power to grow all the time,i'm sure they love you as well as they love the lights,haha:volcano-smiley:
It has been decided that due to the Mars-Hydro Reflector 96 performing so well that some of the cfls that I was using for enhancing the lower branches could be removed. This has several positive attributes, lower electricity and less residual heat. This also allows for the reflectors to be replaced on the light fixtures. The MHR96 is full spectrum and would suffice alone. These babies love bathing in this most wonderful artificial sun. Mars-Hydro, you rock it!

I would not recommend you got with unbranded light.
Firstly,I can not make sure they are using 3w or 5w chips, and the 1000wattage isn't the true watt of the light.
Secondly,i'm not sure if they will provide you warranty as well as Mars-hydro,since they are unbranded LED.
For Mars-hydro grow lights,we have international warehouse,we can arrange goods to our customer within 24hours after we collect the payment, and we offer warranty. No matter what happen with your lights, you can always find us.:Namaste:
You can also check the lights on our official website: Mars , Led grow light , Mars Hydro
Thirdly, there will no guarantee of the quality of this light, also there may not many growers tried this light before.
Ok Sara and everyone else I have 4 marshydro lights already and am looking to buy more but I found this unbranded light and was wondering honestly if it's as good or better than a marshydro its a 1000 watt led full spectrum and it's $87. It's either this or the marshydro 300 led for $89? Anyone with an opinion is appreciated

"unbranded" always risks there.:high-five:
You kinda lost me at "unbranded"

If they can't even stand behind their product enough to give it a brand-name it must be shit

Many LED grow light company didn't show the true watt of the light on their website,it will misleading or confuse customer when they check the lights online.:Namaste:
We always put the true watt in the details of the lights information.:high-five:
Btw! 1000 watt for less than 100$

you know the old saying...
if it sounds too good to be true...

:circle-of-love:Thanks for your support.:thanks:
You like to use the LED light without the glass cover?
I have 2 mars 300 watt and they are awesome I just removed the class on them and it made them even better so imo I would always go wit mars they are not number 1 on the market but they are number 1 in price for quality

:party:The Mars Pro II series are rock stars.
Thanks for your support,i wish i can visit your growing room someday.:volcano-smiley::volcano-smiley:

Not sure what's the best LED out there, but I have never grown with any light performing better than the Mars Pro-series.

wow...Mars-hydro are #1 out there in your mind.I'm so proud that i work for Mars, haha:cheer:
Now we have Mars Pro II Epistar 80,you can check out,it with the U-connector function.:cheer:
pro_ii_80.jpg

I'm not sure either but mars is # 1 in my books I won't buy anything other than mars ...i wish I could afford the pro series but I do love my 96 reflector

:tommy:yeah, they are with the same quality, just different coverage.:cheer::cheer:
Humm,it's easy to fix at home, this will same many times for growers:cheer::cheer:No need to wait one week on the say to the repair service, then another one week on the way back to you....only need screwdrivers...:passitleft:
I agree with you that Mars Pro II series light is "great long-term investment":bravo:
8004.jpg

Since I started with their pro-series it makes sense to stay with those as all parts are interchangeable. It doesn't matter if it's named 160, 320, 80 - they all have the same parts :) And they're all very easy to fix at home. Easy to get spare parts too. Great long-term investment

:circle-of-love:they are making difference everyday.:bravo:
I too love my reflector 96. Received it just as the flip to 12/12 was upon my babies. Growth explosion for sure.

:hippy:For sure the Mars Pro II Epistar 160 will pay you back in growing results.:cheer:
For the Mars Pro II Cree are with the same quality with the Mars Pro II Epistar, but with different brand chips and shape, also the Mars Pro II Cree do not have IR diodes.:high-five:
I'm doing exactly the same. Adding 2 pro epistar 160's to the mix just in time for flower. I mean it is what mars is known for. I have looked at every light out there and just can't find a light that beats their par/watt and attention to the red and far red. Hopefully for the next grow I can add a pro cree 256 with the epistars in the side.

Some photos of my current grow. Day 25 in bloom. White widow & Bubbleicious.
Took some clones from them today to test out a new method of mine. They will have to both root and re-vegg at the same time. A challenge yes, but not impossible.

:welcome:Hi Itibitiguy, usually the photoperiod cannabis strain will only enter full flowering mode when its lighting schedule is limited to 12/12,but they can grow under full spectrum lights.Usually the spectrum of the lights will not change the gender of your plants.:high-five:
I googled some informations:
What type of stress can trigger bananas to form on cannabis buds?

Inconsistent Light Schedules & Light Leaks - When plants don't get light at the same time each day, or if they're exposed to light during their dark period (light leak)

Heat - When temps get too high hermies and nanner often appear.

Too-Bright Light - Like too much heat, light that is too bright can stress your plants and trigger hermies. This is most often caused by growers keeping their lights to close to their plants. You can light-burn your plants even when temperature is under control.

Major Plant Problems - Major plant problems like nutrient deficiencies, root rot, pH problems, light-burn and nutrient burn can all trigger bananas to start growing

Genetics - While stress plays a big role in the formation of bananas, the tendency to form them seems to be genetic. This tendency is very common in the seeds of a plant that hermied - these "feminized" seeds, while always female, are much more likely to show the same herming traits as its parent.Growing seeds that were produced this way is naturally selecting to produce more buds that grow bananas.

Hey everyone

Ive done auto twice and decided that I'm doing some photos this time and got super smart a week and half into the flip 12/12 "hmmm I guess I can just run the bloom switch for photos" so I flip off the growth switch and run just bloom for a week before I get the idea that maybe I should have asked here first. Anyway when I did ask Sarah confirmed my mistake... So I switch on both switchs after this but then I notice that I induced hermies...... .

So anyways I got to rolled with what it is now. I spent 2 weeks combing over any picking off any nut sacks I could find before they could open. Then I couldn't see any nuts coming out so I was hoping I managed to somehow save the day.

Then yesterday I found a opened set of nuts laying on top of a small bud on the bottom. So I guess I'll get some female seeds (with hermies tendency) out of it

Anyways some pics of the girls

This also just seed that I got from a bag...lots of super long pistols with a citrus Smell. Any guesses anyone?

without the glass cover, the heat will not remain inside the light.:volcano-smiley:
Does removing the glass solve the problem with diodes burning out due to overheating on old Mars series?

We do not suggest customer remove the glass cover,it's not good for the light,as the dust and moisture will easily accumulate inside of the light.:high-five:
I don't know if it solves the problem but it definitely works better

Yeah, you are right, remove the glass cover isn't good for the light, though it may help with release some heat, but not too much.:high-five:
I've got 4 old school marshydro 300's on my 4th run with no diodes burning out. Won't removing the glass make it more susceptible to moisture
