Mars Hydro Grow Journal TS3000: Chef's New 4x4

So your six plants, are they all the same age?

So pretty much the same age. I can't help but notice you have 5 plants in fabric pots and 1 plant in a plastic pot. And I notice the one in the plastic pot is quite a bit smaller then those in the fabric pots.

I don't know if you've grown the Garlic Sherbert before but here is a picture of what you can expect between 63 and 70 days.

That looks MFin spectacular. Can’t wait to get to that point.

yeah I ran out of fabric pots on account of my grandpa glue group. I’ll hopefully be remedying that situation tomorrow. I don’t think it’s smaller. It’s more tightly stacked; less Internode space. The leaves on it don’t get very big. That’s a good sign that this plant is what I’m looking for. I’m pretty sure that it is

Well folks, Im running into the problem I knew would be facing. I just didn’t realize it would be this fast. The youngsters in the closet have completely out grown it. They need to get upped to their final (5 gal) pots and set into the 4x4 to take their final shapes.. this leaves the predicament of stuffing the 4 plants in their now back in the closet...

Picture update later this evening.

Ha! Stuffing 'em in like sardines. Just the way you like it! :laughtwo:

Or you could do what I did a couple years ago when I had 4 vegging girls outgrow their veg tent. I took the hedge trimmer to them and just made a left to right cut removing the top 15" of branches leaving a perfect flat top.

Was this in your journal? I must have missed that somehow!
If it was in my journal 99.9999999999% of everyone on 420 missed it.

I'm not sure if I put it in my thread as my threads (until they were shut down) were about current grows and not vegging plants. So I would say no I did not post about that in my thread.

Here’s a quick update as a work on the real one.

Black Cherry Punch i thought would be ready to come down in 3 days. She looks amazing and stinks like candy still. Her buds have also packed on considerable weight.. but i was told the best of the BCPs have gone 70 days. So that’ll be my goal. I can’t wait to smoke this plant, but I’m not gonna take her early cause I’m excited. I like my plants to express their full potential.

The other plant I want to show you is in the 4x4. This grandpa glue is looking so effing good. She’s bulking up already. I’m sad to see her get stuffed back in a closet... but c’est la vie.

Transplanting the new plants and swapping them into the 4x4 shortly...
:rollit:

Everything looking BIG in your gardening world now. :D Defol is your friend in cramped spaces.

That BCP looks delicious!:yummy:
It smells even better than it looks!

That’s right, things have gotten much larger since my last set up... I’ll have to go through her very well before I put her in the closet (re:defol)

I know you remember that ZkittleZ auto that I just harvested and how I was always talking about how many leaves I was removing daily. She turned out okay which to me proves defoliation is a good thing. Increased light penetration and increased air flow through the plant.

Yeah she was an absolute beast of an auto. Yielded the same as my heaviest photo plant.

I'll bet it smells like bubblegum! ;)
you know, it’s hard to not pick off a bud and just start chewing

Here’s something else that I can’t believe I haven’t shown you all.

I hadn’t mentioned it, but I was quite inconsistent with my CS applications on the grandpa glue. I sometimes applied it at night, sometimes in the morning... I forgot a few days... a few separate times. As a result, this is all I’ve got to work with as far as pollen is concerned.

im gonna have to make sure I’m very careful if I still want to make seeds. I’ll be following the procedure posted by @Carcass over in @InTheShed ’s neck of the woods.
There are some good tips for dealing with the dry pollen here
Might make collecting the finished product a bit easier...
