Mars Hydro Grow Journal: TS 3000, Gorilla Glue Auto, 4x4 Tent, 2 Medium, 2 Pot Sizes

sorry i thought your still hanging for some reason. yes you are right use the packs jar 60-65%

Optimal Drying Environment:
Room Temperature – Around 70°F (21°C)
50% Humidity

Optimal Environment in Jars (Curing):
Room Temperature – Around 70°F (21°C)
58-65% Humidity
I do still have half hanging... I harvested one a day for four days. About to go down now and trim about half of what's left leaving the last 25%. It seems a bit wet because buds aren't breaking off right but I made that mistake with other two trim sessions and harvested a bit late. Yes conditions were 70 and 50%. Dried it a little fast at 4 days. I backed off and it has been at 56% and I dropped temps down to 60.

I have a bunch hydro packs. I'm putting them in each jar. In my research I haven't seen anyone putting them in unless their is a problem with buds being to dry and for storage. I have a bunch of micro thermometer hygrometers. They seem in accurate but all are reading around 55% in the jars so I put hydro pack in all of them. Trimming more today. The buds seem a bit wetter but since I've been waiting to long I'll see what happens today. I guess I was just wondering if they are not Ideal for the cure. I haven't decided on the lights yet, buy leaning towards 18/6 maybe 20/4 on lights.

buy some mini hydrometers on amazon 5 for 20.. battery or 1 for 11.. analog put in jar.. your jar got to be way higher than 55... at 4 days might be over 70 in jar... putting in a humidity pack 8 gram for 15 gram weed..

fill jars about 5/8 full max.. u want to be at 62 in jar for permanet storage.. the pack in jar at 70 will help dry the weed
down and absorb moisture in jar but its still to high and u need to open daily or more at 4 days.

is my thoughts and what im doing got 15 nice smiling jars out of 19 now.. cheers..

heres pic .. she needs some air... the pic of your jars maybe take a few buds out more air less bud.. ad one more jar
take a few out of each maybe..

ps jar was at 69.5-70 before i opened it.. house humidity is 49ish .. was open 15 20 mins.. took pic

good stuff about jamming to much in jars, almost everyone does this, i always worry about running out of jars

one of the things that perplexed me with autos my first grow is when is veg over and flower start. thats another one people have different opinions on. I've been slowly changing to my flower nuts at week 4-5 usually, all lower veg nuts and start with flowering nuts1/4 strength. i'll decrease my veg and slowly increase flower nuts over few week period after week 4-5, still keeping in my ppm ranges to suit plant.

Hows it going fighting the urge to dig in your peat pellets

I bought so many mini hydrometers.. they all suck! I need to try analog mini.... Thank you Deltadubie. I will take all of your advise... I have humidity packs in every jar... The drying and the cure have proven to be the most difficult of grow so far. Practice makes perfect and I'm looking forward to becoming a expert.

I'm curious about the coco and nutes vs soil aspect.
I'm gonna try to model Mr. Canuck's Coco grow. ( youtuber ) He does some great organic coco grows.

im no expert but my mother was a master gardener certified by western university people came 50 miles to see moms
gardens at home .. i started growing a pot seed at 15 told mom was a science project ..
and we had to find out what it was.. well she grew that baby 12 ft high lol then someone told her holy molly ..
shit hit the can for a few day s.. no boat keys.. was rough anyways .. back then lots of 14 yrs olds running out the yatchs in the 70s was the times..

and the trimming you got to get the sugar leaf out ive been like pulling the buds apart gently and just pulling the whole
sugar leaf off the bud steam the biggers ones.. think this is important a good hair cut every leaf almost..

Ah yeah, he's on my favs list. Thanks for the info!
I love the guy... Bought some amendments and coco yesterday. The guy at hydro store said everyone that tries coco have bigger better grows and never goes back to soil... Grow is really going to be fun.

Very curious about your experiment! How do you plan on watering...same schedule for both plants? Just water or any added nutrients...same PH for both? Enquiring minds want to know...

Maybe next tent grow I'll do coco v hydroton
I’m getting close to finishing a coco/perlite run, I want to do a hydroton run soon! I have just started seedlings in jiffy pots, I may need to wait one more run? Spring perhaps, I like the idea of recirculating instead of drain to waste.

honestly I haven't gotten that far yet... I think coco will require more waterings. Not sure if I will even Ph at all. I just ran down stairs to check on seeds... All FOUR have sprouted. :yahoo: :yahoo:It's on!!!! I have had 100% success using peat pods. I used the last grow and also had 100% .

I'm jumping in this train and seeing this experiment. My last grow was autos in 3 gal pots and debated about using 5 gal, but the breeder (fastbuds420) had a blog post on their site recommending 3 gal pots for autos. But seeing how much I was watering them in flower wish I went a little larger just for that reason ha. Curious to see the results.

I use the humidity packs too. The way I've been doing it, hang drying the branches and feeling the buds for moisture. I've never gotten a small bud branch to "snap", even on the first grow that seemed to be a bit dry when jarred. They may be at 68%-70% after an hour in the jars, and I burb 2-3 times a day for the first few days. I'm sure I could let them hang dry longer but was worried about over drying ...can always dry more but can't add moisture right, atleast that was my thinking.

I try to keep the humidity packs out until about week three in the jars so it cures, and continues drying, naturally. When humidity is 65% steady, I add the 62% humidity packs. I did get some 58% humidity packs too as some say they like less humid bud....my experiment this time with 2 jars ;)
