Lol I actually had almost same kind of thingy once.Wait - you’re saying it went up after you diluted it by adding pure water?
Topped the reservoir with bout 1.5L tap water and before that measured the res (used my EC pen only by then) it was showing 1.9 before and 2.0 after. Don’t know how is that possible. 1.9-2.0 is 50ppm difference and didn’t check the actual ppm reading. So I thought I’ll start using TDS pen only…
Tap water’s being ~100ppm here, but that shouldn’t matter as the res already contains the same water.- Thread starter

Ok - recap:
Last night changes out the res with feesh 4 gallons at 900 ppm and 5.8 ph
24 hours later: down 2 gallons; ppm up to 1700, ph up to 6.8
Added 2 gallons water ph’d to 5.3-ish … ppms now at 979-980 and ph at 5.9
Tomorrow night same time I’ll measure ppm and ph, then add ph’d water and then measure ppm and ph again.
Sorry - been SUPER SWAMPED with work )12+ hour days)
