I guess I should put a disclaimer in here:
The biggest thing you have to remember is
I grow one, yes one plant in a 4x4 tent. If some of these techniques are used space becomes a premium quickly. So be careful.
When do you up the %of light on your 2000?
I bought my Mars-hydro before they had dimmer knobs on them. I use light height to compensate for my inability to dim the 2000. It does have a dimmer on it but it's small and you need a jewelers screwdriver to adjust and there is no markings. So I don't adjust the ballast, just change height.
During the veg stage, set the lights at 18 inches at 18 hours on and 6 hours off.
For flowering, set our lights at 14 inches with lights on for 12 hours and off another 12
Mars Hydro and I recommend, for these important stages the following:
Recommended Lighting Time:
Veg: 18/6 (on/off) or 20/4 (on/off)
Flower: 12/12 (on/off)
Recommended hanging distance above plants and dimmer position:
Seeding: 24″
1/4 to 1/3 power
Germination: 24″-30″
Veg: 18″-24″
1/2 to 2/3 power
Bloom: 12″-18″
Full power
The power usage position is my determination only.
I just went up to 40 from 30 they are starting their 2nd week of veg. Do you think this is good idea. Im figgin to up rhe p.p.m today so im thinking more light as well.
Humidity can be a bear during veg., once I place my net it's all about humidity control. 60% and above is achievable, but difficult at times. I am currently running around 60%, but in the next couple week it will average between 35 and 45%. I normally reduce my humidity after the 3 week stretch.
Im figgin to up rhe p.p.m
This is my general rule for ppm's
First 4 to 5 weeks 250 ppm's of nothing but cal-mag and what ever else I add does not change the ppm's
Middle veg, I bump it up to about 350 ppm's, with 150-200 cal-mag and lower amount of grow to get my 350 range.
From 350 to 450 range for late veg and early flower
Flowering I will slowly increase the ppm's to 600 and sometime 650ppms (depending on the strain). At this time care must be use to find the sweet spot without causing nutrient lockout.
Last two weeks I am backing of the ppm's and preparing to harvest.
Hope this helps,
Tok..
