Mars-Hydro DWC 1 Plant 4x4 Scrog

Howdy everyone long time no speak.

I hope everyone has a good grow going on with no issues.

Today's update:

May was placed of 12/12 on the 3/29 (yesterday), so let the stretch begin. This is the part where we learn how to weave.

I hope my playing did not set her back to much. I am now getting ready to start setting up the 10 gallon container for use. I am hoping to push the walls on a 4x4 tent, we'll see. This next grow will be a no issue grow, meaning I will not be playing, just going for yield.

I recently was selected as a Bestva led light (Pro 1000) tester from one of our sponsors (thank you again @GrowTina ).
I believe between the Bestva led light and my Mars-hydro 2000, I think I can push the limits of one plant in a less than 4 month lady. Not this grow, it's the next one that will be waiting in the wings.

I was going to take the summer off but, decided to squeeze one more in; so I will take July and August off and enjoy the summer. It will also give me time to decide what I want to have for the holidays.

Some current images taken from 3-28 to 3-30

Enjoy,
Tok..

Gonna be interesting to see how this plays out

Hey brother, glad to see your garden. Been pulling 60s at work time is slim for me lol.
May is cruising.
Got some questions for ya,
When do you up the %of light on your 2000?
I just went up to 40 from 30 they are starting their 2nd week of veg. Do you think this is good idea. Im figgin to up rhe p.p.m today so im thinking more light as well. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for stopping by @Dusty Kiefers

I guess I should put a disclaimer in here:
The biggest thing you have to remember is I grow one, yes one plant in a 4x4 tent. If some of these techniques are used space becomes a premium quickly. So be careful.

I bought my Mars-hydro before they had dimmer knobs on them. I use light height to compensate for my inability to dim the 2000. It does have a dimmer on it but it's small and you need a jewelers screwdriver to adjust and there is no markings. So I don't adjust the ballast, just change height.

During the veg stage, set the lights at 18 inches at 18 hours on and 6 hours off.

For flowering, set our lights at 14 inches with lights on for 12 hours and off another 12

Mars Hydro and I recommend, for these important stages the following:

Recommended Lighting Time:

Veg: 18/6 (on/off) or 20/4 (on/off)

Flower: 12/12 (on/off)

Recommended hanging distance above plants and dimmer position:

Seeding: 24″ 1/4 to 1/3 power

Germination: 24″-30″

Veg: 18″-24″ 1/2 to 2/3 power

Bloom: 12″-18″ Full power

The power usage position is my determination only.

Humidity can be a bear during veg., once I place my net it's all about humidity control. 60% and above is achievable, but difficult at times. I am currently running around 60%, but in the next couple week it will average between 35 and 45%. I normally reduce my humidity after the 3 week stretch.

Im figgin to up rhe p.p.m
This is my general rule for ppm's

First 4 to 5 weeks 250 ppm's of nothing but cal-mag and what ever else I add does not change the ppm's

Middle veg, I bump it up to about 350 ppm's, with 150-200 cal-mag and lower amount of grow to get my 350 range.

From 350 to 450 range for late veg and early flower

Flowering I will slowly increase the ppm's to 600 and sometime 650ppms (depending on the strain). At this time care must be use to find the sweet spot without causing nutrient lockout.

Last two weeks I am backing of the ppm's and preparing to harvest.

Hope this helps,

Tok..

So as life has it in my area with snow yesterday and 60's today; it makes me itchy to do another GG when the 20th comes this month. I did it last year and lost about 50 or so plants due to high heat and no rain. I was not able to water the plants often enough, and only had two survivors a The Blue Kings and a Critical Jack. As much as I would like too, I think I will be pasting on that this year.

The good news in the next couple years I plan on moving and getting a place with at lease 20 acres. Then I will really be playing.

Awesome!!! 20 Acres is a heck of a big yard!!!! Happy for you brother :high-five: :green_heart:
Hope you're having a happy Easter weekend Tokin!

Now days its just me and the insane woman that married me 38 years ago. She not crazy, but it help with me.

My son (26) and my daughter(37) and grand son's are coming by tomorrow., but nothing fancy just family.

I'm a big family guy and miss a lot of mine. Covid and lock downs have kept some away (high risk) & it's been hard. When my health went downhill I realized even more how much I treasure mine.
Have a good one, it'll be just the Mrs and I this weekend, but I'll be cooking up a little turkey anyway. :Namaste:

@Rexer It's amazing how the things we value the most, and can't be replace like family and friends are often the most over looked.

I hope you had a fantastic Easter with your wife and had your fill of Turkey.

Todays update is pretty slow, May has been difficult to say the least. She slow to in developing and maturing so I temporarily removed the net until I get more development before the net is put back in place. With a little luck maybe she a later bloomer. I am just limited at this time on what I can do. I will get her back on track after the three week stretch.
Images are from 3-31 to 4-4, the bud is 5 months cured, and with trim I made some cookies. It's all good.
