Mars 2 LED Beginners Grow - FFOF - DWC

the veg tent, im thinking about doing another journal so i dont have so much to upload in one thread haha

Hey arellanobrian it's been awhile. As you know I'm no expert but to me those leaves seem off in numerous ways which contradict each other (you know I'm no expert, let me reiterate that fact). First of all one leaf looks over nute burned, and some of the other tips look like they are clawing which I gather is usually a sign of Nitrogen toxicity. Then on the other hand you also have what looks like could be a Cal/Mag deficiency (purpling stems and veins plus the light areas on the leaves). On top of that those brown spots look like they could be a pest control problem (definitely not an expert again lol). Have you checked thoroughly for pests? You may need a microscope or magnifying loupe to spot a lot of them. Other than that if your plants are definitely pest free I would be looking at the PH values of the water and feed combined, as the only thing I can think of that would give such a generalised variety of problems would be the PH. I'm guessing that you already check the PH value after adding the nutes though. I know this might not be much help, but it's something for you to mull over until a real expert gets on. I'm trying though, and I'm sending your plants some grow strength karma. All the best :thumb:

Thank you man and your right with all those problems and that's why I think it's gotten so bad. I first thought it was cal mag so I upped that and it seemed to slow but was getting worst so then I checked PH and the runoff came out at 6.8 when I PH'd at 6.4 so I don't think it's PH.

I don't think it's pests because it's only happening to the golden goat, kosher kush is doing awesome. I don't know what I did wrong but next time I do FFoF I'm going to PH the whole way though even with organics and I'll start feeding 1/4 strength nutes about a month in. I'm going to see how she does and maybe pull at around week 7-8 for hash or edibles.

Thanx for the input man and at least the kosher kush in coco is looking awesome

O and both pics are of the same leaf, I couldn't get a good pic under the LEDs so I pulled the worst leaf I could for nd for the pic

O well we'll see how this one turns out and I have 2 of her clones in FFoF so well see if I give nutes earlier and PH the whole way through if I have better results with this strain, we'll figure it out :thumb: I think I tried to do to much with this grow, I'm using 2 different types of nutes and have plants in harvest at 2 different schedules with 2 different mediums. I'm going to keep the next journal simple. But I always appreciate the feedback, I love different perspectives :Namaste:

Week 12 update

i messed up last update as today is the start of week 5 of flower, pretty much more of the same.

i feed the Kosher Kush in coco every day with full stength nutes PH'd between 5.5-5.8 and give it 1 watering with no nutes just PH'd.

Golden Goat and roslyn are both on a water/feed/water/feed schedule and are getting full strenth nutes when i do feed. im now PHing between 6.4-6.8 to make sure there yellowing isnt a PH problem. on a good note the fungus gnats are all gone :blunt: at least some good news lol

great growing and nice read , keep it up :thumb:

subbed

Thank you man always glad to have a fellow grower in the mix, and I'll be posting some vids if you wanna here me ramble haha :Namaste:

Looks good ! I'm a little jealous lol

im glad you enjoy the to grow :Namaste: and hopefully next time ill be able to get a nice grow with no deficiency's so we can really see how the mars 144x5 can do

For a first time grow arellanobrian you're doing great pal. You saw the state of mine on my first grow and things aren't much better now lol. Your glass is way over half full (I hope that translates across the pond ;)) you've got some seriously good looking plants over there, and a great journal here. I only wish I could help you more myself but have you considered a flush on the yellow plant? I think it has to be worth a try just in case the plant has nutrient lockup. Might be worth thinking about if nothing else is working :thumb:

thank you for the reassurance i am always so sad when i cant get a nice plant all the way through. and i do think that whatever happens ill be able to make some quality BHO out of the Golden Goat.

and i should probably give that a try. im going to have to figure a way to flush in the scrog as i cant move the plant to collect the runoff but it could be. if i dont see improvement in the next week a nice flush will have to come next.

haha and haven't you heard, america steals from everyone lmao of course that translates :Namaste:

i know its been awhile but here is week 12 vid update haha i cut out the smoke and chug because my schedule is so crazy right now so ill hopefully have a better vid next week

Week 13 update

42 days flower

The kosher Kush is still getting full strength General Organics go box Ph'd at around 5.5-5.8 and i give it a good gallon of just water once a week. some of the lower leaves are yellowing alittle but im not to worried about it as its only a couple of leaves and i am getting to the last 2-3 weeks of flower. some of the bigger colas are starting to fall over but dont look to big, they still have a few weeks so i hope they fill in :volcano-smiley: i will be giving her 2 more weeks of nutes and i will start looking at trichs to see when about 25%-50% of the them are amber as i like a good mix in my high

The Golden Goat is still yellowing but the leaves are still ridged and hard to pull off, completely different form the yellowing on the Kosher Kush that is just falling off. the buds arent as big but look like they could be fatter, we'll see how it ends up and i have 4 of her clones so we'll really see what she can do next round... and on another not when i rub a lower bud and smell my fingers i get a great sweet fruity aroma like a berry but not one i could name off the top of my head :circle-of-love:

and Last is Roslyn Road with another Kosher Kush plant in coco. roslyn is in FFoF and only one week behind the golden goat and kosher kush in the other tent. she is also yellowing i beleive to me not starting the feeding for a month and a half, i have already started feeding there clone 1 month in. but her buds look like they have real potentental when i can grow her corectly as they seem to be actually produsing colas and stay short witch usually means they have dense buds. but all three plants are on General Organics go box but with the plants in FFoF i feed/water/feed/water and with the coco i give nutes every day only give water once week to flush some of last weeks nutes.

Your garden is doing good! The clawing is usually a lockout due to ph bieng off, but if you are feeding cal mag every feeding it could be the cal mag locking out other nutes (nitrogen) due to high doses. All in all it looks like you are on schedule and will end up with some fine smoke! BTW- where is the Brewers festival bieng held? If you don't want to post it publicly, feel free to pm me. Thanks!
