manual hydro wattering

Ya know, i have yet to see a good grow journal completed using only wick system.

ya know charlie....I am sure I could do alot better....but I am working with what I have got...and at this time that ain't much...but it gets me through:yummy:...and that by no means is a dig or anything...just stating facts...over the years I have had intense growing ops...but at this time I am forced into a corner and I am making due...I closed in that corner with 2 plastic walls and built me a garden :grinjoint:

How bout a much larger scale version of hempy bucket fusion with ebb n flow. 2x4 flood tray full of hydroton or perlite/vermiculte. Passive hydro. Drain hole drilled 1.5 inches up the side so it would have a 1 inch resivoir of nutes in the bottom that the hydroton could wick up to the surface and it'd take a day or 2 to dry out before next feeding. Top water like soil. Flush once a week. Might be easier than 4 separate 5 gal hempy buckets.

Only problem with that setup if you're using regular seeds vs feminized or clones is that the roots get all tangled up together and makes it difficult to remove males without leaving lots of roots behind to decay.

Not sure if decaying roots would throw things off so bad that it would affect the remaining plants.

Maybe some Hygrozyme would take care of that issue.

i grew in soil for 10+ years, but am switching over to hydro for a while...using different grow methods can't help but make you a better grower, i think.

+++ about 100 on that !!!:cheer:

The more different ways you know to grow, the better the chance you have in different situations.
