lets hope they dont die now :) may have just ended my FIRST GROW before they made it to a month old lol
took off nodes 4/6 and stripped the stem, first two the growth is not sufficient to tie down, the last just about though very gently lol

wish them luck bless them!!

Looking good there. I’m on my 2nd Grow and I too am trying to mainline my grow. My first grow I did toppings and LST training, and had a mixed result. I had 4 that worked out great and others not so well (mite issue being a big factor) Grew some nice colas but lots of wasted energy on popcorn buds, as I never defoilated my girls. Overall I like the results I’ve gotten so far, and will be making the flowering switch on Thursday. Some looks very uniform and 2 I kind of let go a bit wild, but lots of cola tops can be seen. (One didn’t take as a node was missing and am just doing my best LST) Just can’t get over how often I have to defoliate my plants and that is sometimes every 3rd day or so. Can’t wait to see the results and best of luck with your grow. Picture of my grow today at 53 days

nice mate looking good!
i have topped 1 and lst a couple of autos i have running too, and just manifolding the photos, but sure am getting stuck in witht he various techniques pretty early on lol
be interesting to see what happens anyway. still dont know if the photos will be girls yet lol

they’re bouncing back nicely from the snip :) looking good, i dropped their feed strength slightly since the chop, 2 days since though and looking good! i think another two, the critical (bottom pic) will he ready for the next topping.
the other 2 are gas og, the top g2 middle pic g1

They look good, I wait for at least 6 nodes then cut at the 4th node. I do this for all three cuts to get to 8 main stems. Can not tell where you are with these. Just give them time to grow, don't get in a hurry, that can set you back.

cheers buddy for advise, so one of them is popping out her 3rd node, or was 8h ago, probably moving to next now, lol the other 2 were just passing first and 2nd, so yeah little way to go.

@gr865 yes yes :)) trying lol
theyre sure bouncing back ok though, 5th node pushing through now since first top on one of the plants, and the 4th on another, ooh but it is exciting, ive decided that actually, with 3 reg bag seeds, not knowing if they might pop some balls that maybe getting some practice in this early with the technique was probably a good idea :) perhaps if i can perfect it i can put into practice on someof these

that would be interesting lol havent had a look for any journals on the bruce yet actually, might do that.

so a week (day 7) on from the start of this thread, its all covered in my journal aswell but i guess this will be good for any newbies like me to see how to stumble through lol

the critical is looking well, topped again 2nd time on day 5, as the 5th node was just appearing, this image from last night maybe 12h ago, growing out already again by this morning! lovely

the gas 1 also was topped on day 5, from 4th node,

and the gas 2 topped again on day 6, from 4th node, always been a little slower than the other but all round all 3 looking good to me.

@ falstaffo

They are looking better, now just give them time, don't tie them when they are small. Now you need to wait for those to grow to the 5/6 node then cut at the 4th. It takes time to train a plant for Manifolding (don't like the name mainline), like my vegging for my vertical grows, I look at 6 to 8 weeks veg time and training before they are put into flower.
Your in coco right? Are you using Great White? You want to build those root systems. I use both Great White and Subculture II during veg and Great White throughout the grow. Roots are the key, better, faster growth and recovery after trimming them.
Here is one of the ladies at day 19 of flower.

thankyou for guidance gr8! really appreciate it! so it would be top at the 4th and that will be the last top. then let them grow.
yep im in coco, but no great white atm, i have been using hornet super roots, i know the benefits of the great white though, ive read a fair bit about it, had been spending a fair bit though on all this so decided early on i would allow it for this grow and get some for my next batch, perhaps i should just order some now though?
the roots have been popping through the fabric pots on the gas for a while now, the tips come through white and do turn brown i guess from exposure just on the tips, but they are also visible around the inside of the fabric and also break the surface at times, they are nice and white,
they are in 10l pots (the gas) and i think the critical which is in a plastic pot smaller than that, i guess i will need to uppot the critical at somepoint? how would i know when to do that?

they will be coming up for 5 weeks in a couple of days, i guess they still have few to go in veg yet lol, gives me a chance to save up for the next set of qb’s for the flower area!

You have topped twice, then yes, one more time for a 8 top manifold.
Just be patient, let the plant tell you when it's ready. When I was doing manifolding I rush it the first few grows and did not do well at all.
Good luck buddy!

this is my second grow, first grow was also mainlined, both the plants here are mainlined as well.
i think unless you are growing in hydro, or purposefully trying to stall veg its not a very efficient way to produce flowers, in the long run of yield/time i have lost out.

also using great white lol

actually pictures of three plants here all mainline, the big one is more than mainlined but same concept all the branches are running off of the two main arms. that root ball is solid, that plant spent 2 months in a 1 gallon smartpot, it was drinkjng all its water in 24 hrs and wilting every other day lol
