Maine 4-Season Greenhouse Grow

Wish I could play. My dad is coming out for a visit in a few weeks. He wants to get out and play. Told him I will ride with him and just chip and put. Can't swing a club with my back anymore. At least til its fixed

Yeah I posted that not remembering who said they were a golfer. Sorry Van. I'm doing softball on base this summer too. And I totally threw my back out last week. Really hope I can get through the round. But I think I have some "swing lube" somewhere in my bag ;). The topicals really helped me through though.

Are you able to get any fishing in with that back? I know you and your dad like that... maybe cast a few out?

We did pretty good for 2 hours on the little lake boat

Hey there Blew.. sorry about the caterpillars. Glad they don't like cannabis. Well not in the current form! Yikes!

Do you know about neem cake?? Can make a weak tea and foiler on, that will chase them away prolly not even kill them but thats what the birds are for.

Set up some bird feeders and get the Cardinals involved. You wanna wear a helmet after a bit. I like to call in the Ravens and Crows. They like to play lookout while all the other birds have dinner. I'm sure yer already on the bird shit but hey, always worth a mention. They bring a lot to the table... so many ways.

For autos. I love to run the Dark Devil in soil. Don't expect a lot of yield tho not without chemicals. I grow them with soil only. Best to do a shotgun approach - many many small plants = large yield. i'm going outdoors with them here in about a week.

G/L with the caterpillar invasion. I'd prolly be into an electric fence or something completely different like that.

Nah I don't think we will get to do any fishing. Would love to have him out and do one of those Wicked Tuna charters with him.

As far as can I do it.......yeah! I can do anything that doesn't involve twisting or bending, standing or sitting too long, or that needs rapid movement from my back. But the more important question is this.....is the payoff worth the pain I am going to be in? So a big hell yeah to fishing and sex! LOL

Was freaking brutal down here. Saw it up at 95 degrees til the thunder storms and winds whipped through. Supposed to go back to normal tomorrow. Good news is I don't think I will need to water the veggie garden for a couple days!
 
Little trick for freezing fish for anyone interested. Freeze them in zip lock bags with enough water in it to submerge the fish (generally fillets). Keeps your fish from getting freezer burn if you catch a shit ton and know you won't eat it all before they go bad. Stores better and fish tastes better.

Yes, I considered neem, and pest tape, and sticky sticky goop, and even electric wire! There were just so many and the birds didn't seem to be interested. At the end of the day I just closed up all the ground level access on the GH and hoped the top vent would be enough. It looks like they are in the cocoon stage and they have slowed down, so I think we are on the downhill.
