Magnus8's Canna Cream, Body Butter & Canna Lotion Study Hall

With my harvest in April sometime I'm going to make some of your recipe for my uncle. Had back surgery and they made it worse and he's in lots of pain. This was the plan but had no starting point.
So thank you from my heart to yours. I can't wait to heal my family of some of thier problems.

On behalf of all of us
:welcome: to the :420:. It truly is the best place to be :circle-of-love:

I can tell you your uncle will be happy, since we know it works.

Also, in the meantime, tell him to drink tea with Turmeric. ( 1 table spoon /3 times a day). It helps.

Chew,

The new version works MUCH better, faster, lasts longer and is MUCH less greasy. It absorbs very well into the skin. Give it a try!!! :circle-of-love::peace:

This is so WONDERFUL to read! I am so proud of you and your willingness to adjust your formulation.

:hugs: I will of course be here when you start Magnus :hugs:
Cannafan, consider some e-whole sale pretty please :hugs: My dream is a coffeshop/canna heal center, selling products. And I would love to have your products in my shop :)

Hey Chew, SuperGroomers formulation and how he arrived at it is contained in the pages I suggested you read.

Give a man a fish and he'll starve tomorrow. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat well for the rest of his life.

Agreed! I've been looking, thought it had been posted but I must have missed it if it was.

:circle-of-love:

It WASS posted. People only had to follow the thread...

It's ok. I didn't mind posting it again. I know for me it is sometimes hard with ALL the threads I am subscribed to, it is hard to look through everything and find all the tidbits you missed. Sometimes it is just easier to ask. It is all good. :circle-of-love::peace:

I don't think I am finished here. I don't mind experimenting. My goal is to find the best formulation that gives people the best relief. We are he Guinea pigs and the researchers of the cannabis revolution. :circle-of-love::peace:

PM Sent.

For the rest of you, here it is. Feel free to ask, make suggestions, anything. I want to make this the best it can be.

I infused 2c of Grape Seed Oil with 16g assorted bud. The bud was decarbed @ 230f for 110 minutes. Added to oil in pyrex dish and cooked in oven @200f for 8hrs. Strain. In double boiler I put 1c uninfused GSO. 1.3oz beeswax grated into the oil as it heats. Once all the wax is melted, add 1c infused oil and combine. Pour out into 2 8oz containers. Works so much better then the last version.

I would normally add essential oils of some type (Lavender, sandalwood etc) but the person I was making this batch for has very sensitive skin and we wanted this the be the bare bones version. :circle-of-love::peace:

Have you ever thought of adding Tea Tree Essential Oil (TTO) or Peppermint Oil (PO) to your formulations?

TTO has a rather medicinal scent but of all the essential oils, it runs second to none (except for PO) for delivering pain relief. PO does the same thing, but also, at higher dosages, makes the skin tingle rather pleasantly.

Since I am unable to legally use cannabis -- until tomorrow, that is!!! -- I currently make an infusion of fractionated coconut oil with both TTO and PO in the mix. Helps tremendously.

Think about it. It may even improve the efficacy of your current formulation!

Does anyone use avocado oil?
I like it. Its very good for cooking, eating, massage, skin care, etc its low viscosity..thin
I like using oils/fats/ingredients I can consume too.

I LOVE using avocado oil! I used to use it to supercar my soaps, primarily, besides in my salad dressings. Very good oil for superfatting and for eating, but not so good as a carrier oil for our precious cargo of cannabinoids,

Avocado oil has many of the same problems as coconut oil. It just doesn't soak into the skin very well. A bit of it will if applied extremely lightly, but not much.

In classic skin formulations, it is recommended not to use it above 2% of your total formulation. That being said, it is a wonderful addition to your formulation when kept in a supporting role.

Stick around, New B!

By that time you may have many new formulations to choose from. A plethora of riches, as I like to ponder upon!

My concern with this particular method would be the long term light. I've been told, and read over and over again, that light will degrade the THC. Do you have any personal opinions on that Magnus8? Or does anyone else have any thoughts/facts/information on that?

Not at the moment, I can't see thru my tears.
