First off I hope I am posting this in the right place. I tried looking if there is a forum section just for the MBM2.

So the question is really Is there any benefit to longer cook times? I have done a chit load of reading and googling on this. The recipe for magic coconut oil calls for 2hrs. What happens if you leave it longer??? Does that ensure all the good stuff is now off the product? Does that mean you start getting the chlorophyl now in your tincture?

Before getting this machine I used a slow cooker at a very low temp and cooked it close to 24hrs. This recipe seemed to smell a lot stronger even though I used the exact same recipe and product. Now was that because cooking it that long added chlorophyl?

Thanks :)

So I today I email the MGM people and asked this question and here is their response:

Hi Mike,

Thank you for the LOVE and for contacting us.

Yes, you will have a stronger extraction and a prominent plant matter taste. You can run a good coconut oil for up to 4 hours at 130 or 160 degrees. You will have a stronger extraction and a prominent plant matter taste. There is no need to run it longer than the 4 hours because you start to break down the good fats that the cannabis adheres too.
