MacMota's 3rd - Strawberry Cough - Jamaican - Soil

Re: MacMota's 3rd, Strawberry Cough, Jamaican, Soil

Well crap. I guess I should have read some more, huh? :rasta: Any suggestions on how to increase Nitrogen? Would Lowe's or HD have something?

If anything go to your local hydro store bro I wouldn't look into HD or Lowes but for book wise i learned alot called the marijuana bible but if you do find a hydroponic store ask them about what nutes to jack up your nitro level but so far your doing good mac...I dont see any bad problems bro..

Cool. There's a hydro store not far from here, I'll go ask them. I'm also going to look up that book.

And thanks, it's always nice to have someone around to help with the "oh hell!" moments. :grinjoint:

You're doing alright Mac. Just a little hiccup. It happens to the best of us. You can pick up Alaska Fish fertilizer from either of those stores. There's a veg and bloom version, so you might want to think about that if your options are limited. They're relatively inexpensive as well. I use it on my garden veggies. It stinks, but it works. Try a smaller chain hardware store as well. They seem to carry a better variety. Piece Of Mind and Happy Frog are some others you might want to try. Check Ace Hardware as well, or a local plant nursery/garden center. The problem with National Stores such as Lowes and HD, they all carry the same predertermined stock, basically for the Large fertilizer companies, so selection kind of sucks for the natural or organic gardeners. We have several local hardware/garden centers here, but then again, we live on the West Coast, so it's easier to get everything we need here. Organics are High on the priority list here.

I have some more ideas for you if you're interested, but don't want to post a journal within yours lol. This post is long enough.

Thanks man. There's a hydroponics store not far from here and being in a more liberal state myself there's quite a few options for organic fertilizers as well. I think I'm going to hold off on any more nutrients while in the vegetation cycle.

It's interesting to realize how much I don't know even though I'm into my third grow. Thanks again for your support and advice. I'm always up for ideas so feel free to hijack my thread any time. :grinjoint:

Time for an update!

What a difference 5 days makes! I don't know if it was the fertilizer or the plant just hit it's spurt but I went to work for 4 days and wham! this thing took off. There is a little funky growth that I'm not sure what the cause is, maybe genetics. Other than that, the leaves have darkened significantly and the growth has taken off. I'm thinking we're on schedule to switch to flowering next week! :rasta:

Now on to the pictures!

You can see the funky leaves in the first and second pictures and there's still the browning on the tips of the leaves from before.

That's all for now! As always, thanks for looking guys! :grinjoint:

Re: MacMota's 3rd, Strawberry Cough, Jamaican, Soil

Are you using an nutes mac?

I used the Green Light the other day but that's it. The first two grows I didn't use any nutrients during the vegetation cycle.

Re: MacMota's 3rd, Strawberry Cough, Jamaican, Soil

Could be genetics, but she's looking real good and healthy. The browning will stay there until the leaves die, but they're only the first couple of sets. She still has plenty more to produce.

I figured as much about the browning. Those tips look dead. I expect about a 2 foot growth when I switch to flowering so she'll have plenty to give. :rasta:

Re: MacMota's 3rd, Strawberry Cough, Jamaican, Soil

Sorry you Two! :rasta:

Late as usual. Is that the same grow box? It looks different. Nice job so for. :yummy:
Hope you still have a seat for an old fart! :rasta:

No need to apologize. Fashionably late is the "in" thing anyways. :surf:

It's a similar setup to the first box, I still haven't constructed the one I want. One day though.

You will always have a seat here. You don't have to ask, just come on in and take your pick. :grinjoint:

It's not time for an update, but I thought, since I've spent most of my day off staring at our plant, you could too! :grinjoint:

Here's some pictures I just took, enjoy.
