Lve2toke: Soil, First Grow Journal 2020

Yes, its a concentrated supersoil. Youre going to mix it with your Roots organic soil and apply to the bottom 3rd or half the container.
1lb of concentrate for a 5 gallon container
Yeah I wasnt told i wouldn't need to use nutes...i have some of those too. So dont feed them nutes or will that just make things better? I was only told to get the mix and haven't been told what to do to mix it.im guessing for my 5 gal I'll need 1 pound supersoil and the rest a mix of half and half mother earth and roots?

No liquids nutes at all with organic soil. Just my opinion.
That other soil should be fine too. I never used it before.
So, that small concentrate black bag should be a total of 5lbs.
I would recommend a bigger pot. Maybe, 10 gallons? Bigger pot the better for organic soil. You would need two pounds of concentrate for 10gal.
Have your empty 10gal container, weigh out 2 lbs or eyeball it of the concentrate and add it to the container. Next, fill your container with roots soil only to about 3rd of the container and Mix well.
Now, just your base soil Roots/mother earth rest of the pot.
After that, just water until finish.
Hope i explained it well. If you're unsure please dont hesitate to ask. Really important step to have a easy grow

Yes, perfect.
You can mix mother earth and roots together for the top 2/3rds.
Wait a minute..
I wouldn't use the mother earth.
Does that have any nutrients in it? If it doesnt, i wouldn't use it especially in a 5 gallon pot..
Just stick with Roots for the top 2/3rds.. if Mother earth is just coco and perlite.
I think the rep selling you that wants you to use liquid nutrients with mother earth.

The mother earth is coco and perlite only. No sales rep just someone texting to help me along

Hey Lv2toke, an welcome.

I would recommend you use Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil with that supersoil. I've run them together before and they work well together. You can use the Coco in another pot and with that one you will need to use the liquid nutritients.

Yeah, true..fox farm nice, i like roots for aeration. But both great....just seperate the two combos you have going...mother earth/ liquid nutes or roots/supersoil

Fox farms you say...why that over mother earth?
No scientific reason. I was just letting you know that I've used that combo before and it worked well. :Rasta:
