LST Help

Just getting everything setup for my first grow. Indoor/soil in a 4x8 tent. My plan is to do 12 plants. I am planning to LST half and let the other half grow naturally. Hoping to campare yeilds side by side. Whichever nets the most will become my routine.

Screwnuts, i'm very interested in seeing your results. i'm undertaking a similar project in a smaller space. 3x3.5 with 4 plants. lemme know if you do a journal, i'd love to follow along.

Here's an example of waiting until I read more before asking questions...I figured someone else would have wanted to know what LST stood for, or at least would have mentioned the whole name.

Meanwhile, I was thinking something along the lines of string training...lol.

Anyway, this sounds great! Thanks so much for the info!

LST is the only way to go if your cramped for space, and not wanting to call attention to a larger cab, and my personal choice for growing if your using CFL's.

I've been growing single plants in this 18X22 base for 3 years with great results. The top light canopy (new, just finished, has 8 42W CFL's) adjusts from 29" to 39" in height.

Great, this is just what I needed.
I have a question though. Do the numbers represent weeks?

Good i am not the only one, i was wondering the same thing first i thought maybe colas or nugs sites but i dont know. Can anyone clear this up for us, been along time with no answer.

:nicethread: just need to know what those numbers represent

Just started my plant on LST this morning just getting way to big compared to the others. But the plant is almost 14 inchs tall any probelm with that ?? Shes going to be my mother for a little while then into flowering.

nicely done doc. what are you using to tie that girl down? (heh heh)

Lst works very well, it produces more bud sites and keeps your plants small. I personally love it.

Here is a photo of our lady, she has been lst'd from the time she was real little.

Her canopy is literaly 1 square foot.

I came across this photo on how to grow bonsai herb plants. photo goes from left to right

I have not tried this yet, but I know lst works very well.

hey doc. right on. only one thing to say about that... keep an eye on those ties taht they don't get too tight around the branches and cut off the returning water. it can cause damage to roots. right on man! fishing wieghts with elastic bands and fishing line or hemp twine is my favored method.

best of luck!

This is a great thread, I wish I'd seen that diagram earlier; I'm gonna do that to all my plants now, i can probably triple the amount of growspace by doing this! LST=fun fun fun!

McBudz;
Good stuff!!!
What do you use to hold them down with?
Thanks for sharing!!!

also, you can use partially un-bend paper clips. haha. seem to work like a charm.

you can see the little guy on the lower-right side. they're easy to move too!

btw, LST is amazing! i've pulled 2oz at least from each of the plants i've used it on. and none of them were more than 18" high.

56g/plant x 9plants in my area = 504g/in my area.

my flowering space is 3'x3.5', so 10.f sq*ft under 600w.

0.84g/W is a pretty decent grams per watt if you ask me. :) This technique has almost tripled my yield. i'm a huge proponent of it.

:nicethread:
and
:goodluck:
to all of you out there!

news;
excellent results!
From what little I know, and what I've read searching around this awesome site is
that the girls don't need to be tall. Bush 'em out "low riders" work real well!
Did you use any Co2?
