First LFDA bean sprouted.... on my way, catch ya after harvest

I planted my LFDA bean that sprouted 1/4 inch in soil tap root down knuckle deep...... 2 full days nothing??? Is this normal. I read it can take up to 4 days depending on the strain????

How deep would you say that you put it in in/cm? You know she's sprouted, so you know she's down there moving towards the surface. As long as she's damp, in loose soil, not too cold, and not too deep (over 3/4" maybe??), she should pop her head up in the next couple of days. Patience! (Beyond four days, I think I would be in there doing some very gentle excavation/midwifery.

BillyB, as Scientific mentioned, I had some bad luck with my first sprout. Maybe I went too deep. Maybe I packed down too much. Maybe the soil was too nutrient rich for the delicate sprout. The second run worked well with a pellet. Hope your seedling is merely taking its time to come out strong!

I see on u tube how to use the pellet, but I see people putting the pellet on top off the soil? Rest were all duds, should get replacements this week. First grow....... will be any that sprout, outside ( soon ) No topping just 100,000 lumens ( sunny days ) BUT!! Gotta get it to sprout Water paper towel method ( Crop King ) to a tee and nadda

Bummer that you got duds! I think that Crop King paper towel method is a good as it gets, so if that didn't work, the seeds must really have been baddies.
Rapid Rooters are the planting media that two people I trust recommend. (I used rock wool and had a terrible time.) Pellet on top of the soil?!?

Posting pictures is complicated here (or it took me a while to figure out, anyway). In case you're still figuring, on the menu at the top of the page, click "Gallery," then in the dropdown click "Upload Photos," then go through the steps on the two-page upload process, remembering to click the button at the bottom of the page each time. That adds them you your gallery. Once they're there, you just click the camera icon to choose which photo to add.
