Lost In The Fog

Think I need to do something about the carbon filter I installed in the scrubber, hole place stinks weed now so it must have been a very bad filter I got hold of. Will try cleaning my old one and try to run with it again awhile and see if there is any difference.
I have a filter to clean as well.
How do you guys go about filter cleaning? This is what I ended up doing.

I tried to change the medium once but it ended up with not working. :laughtwo:

I know I read about active carbon water filtration and how you were suppose to back flush the filters with lime at a certain pH and then with water again. The surface of a single grain of active coal is like a football field, quite incredible with it being so small.

I haven't done it yet but my 6 inch one is sitting on the floor waiting for warm weather. Here's what I had. Your idea sounds good too.

I have reused my filters several times by putting the charcoal into a bucket and running the hose through it for a while and stirring until all the ugly yellow smoke goes away, and then reactivating the now clean charcoal in my BBQ grill at 500 degrees for 10 minutes or so. You lose about 5% in the process, but it is perfectly clean afterward and ready for another year's service, and all you have to do is buy a little bit of replacement charcoal to add back in.

That's resourceful of you Emilya, will give it a few turns in my cement mixer out in the summer house with water. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Still no clean socks... sucks... Will bring them out tomorrow and spray them in thrips prevention.

-CraZy pulls another plant out of his hat

I had this Spliff Berry in veg for awhile now
and I thought this was a perfect time to start cloning again,
will take all lower shots from her for this.

Hope I can get four decent clones out of this thrips eaten crap
that was the lower part of her and bloom the rest of her.

Best luck with the thrips CraZ! I haven't had them. What's the plan? Purple Glam is looking like she's a powerhouse.

The thrips are a returning phenomenon in my show apparently, I don't know why. They started to appear since I moved the grow in this new closet I got so I try keeping in preventive state but sometimes I can't do as much as I'd like to as you know.

So the plan is to keep spraying with Sheds Castile Soap tip and it really works great against them so if I just can keep spraying I don't have a problem with them.

PGK is looking great, wish there was more on her but she had a few mishaps so I don't expect too much from her. I have meds stashed now so after this I will try turning the volume of smelly connoisseur sativas down for a while and just do a run with a few Spliff Berry clones during the front door change period. I still haven't got a date for it but somewhere between week 10 and 17, week 8 now I think. We swedes have a militias way of planning according to weeks, don't know why I hate it personally. Then I hope I have time for a big run before the heat hits again I shut down a few weeks or months.

Found a surprise in the last Glue harvest! From three buds this came out,
I got NO males so this must be a hermie mutation?

IF I would germinate this seed does it automatically become a hermie?

FreeCAD skills have evolved since I started and this is the start of the Pollen Trommel
The cutouts in the cylinder will be covered with a fine mesh to separate the pollen from the rest
of the trimmings that will be turned inside the rotating cylinder. Will be adding baffles between
the cutouts on the inside of the cylinder to improve separation. The ends will be enclosed with removable
lids which also will include the driving parts needed to turn the trommel.

CraZy's mind is spinning again...
