Lost In The Fog

Been thinking of how to give a pk 13/14 boost with this feeding system I got. I always got plants in different stages and I don't want to shock younger plants with mixing this in the tank but now since I installed the manifold with the mini valves between the tank and the trays. This means I can shut of that tray I want to boost with pk, just pour it directly in the tray and let it soak and then turn the valve open again and it wont affect the other plants. :cheesygrinsmiley:

This went smoother than I anticipated! GretA is online and measuring right now. But my actual Co2 is much lower than I thought outside the tent in my workshop. I get a steady reading on 400-500ppms here. I haven't placed the sensor inside the tent yet but I will do this asap. But I'm extremely satisfied with how easy it was to get it working!

Btw this is me breathing on the sensor. :lot-o-toke:

Now this is actually a reading from inside the tent. The sensor sits over the fan blowing the produced co2 away from it so this doesn't represent a true value either but its a great hint I'm producing more inside the tent than outside in my workshop! So from here it can only be better I expect the value to rise in a while, had the tent open most of the night and the gas needs to be produced before it shows. I'm already thinking of improvements. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Looks like a crazy person been here and made a bomb wiring....

Will need to test a few things with this meter before I really can trust its readings. I was hoping the reaction would generate a lot mor Co2 than what I'm seeing on the meter. The measuring can be disturbed by the placing of the meter will try to get values from all over the tent. I'm guessing the Co2 will be more concentrated close to tent floor. The sensor can also be disrupted of the light from all my leds and get faulty readings by that. The meter is based on some IR readings on the Co2 so it might need to be in the shade. Will test this as well before I make any conclusion to this. But I'm glad I see positive co2 readings inside the tent anyway.

So I had the girls outside for disinfection tonight and some modification with a new bottom in the tent. I raised the floor of the tent 4cm to be able to use the hole square feet inside without having to spare space for tent poles. I feel I'm growing my self more and more outside of these tents now days so this winter maybe I will skip the tent in all.... we will see. Plants doing great and tonight they got the new Castile soap used one table spoon in less than one liter of RO. Smelled fantastic and felt good using it. I always do this one hour before light cycle goes on so they have time to dry off in my workshop before entering day.

This is the self inflicted super crop HP has been busy doing her self. Hope they swell now with extra Co2.

Sorry for bad lighting on Spliff. Looks like she has three tops now since my decapitation of her.

HP has now got a PK 13/14 boost to munch on this week. I mixed it with my ordinary res mix so her mix is HOT now, its 2,9ms/cm @ 5,7pH. Hope she will be happy with this, I'm happy with a spliff and some coffee.

Been playing with the Co2 this evening and actually managed to keep this value for 30min after that it drops to around 500ppm.

This process needs to be refined some tobe able to supply sufficient Co2 for any grater profit from it. What I first come in mind to when seeing it is that it seems like the process is more active when the sodium is suspended in the water from stirring it in the reaction bottle. It should have some kind of mechanical mixer, I'm thinking a magnetic laboratory Magneton mixer. Will start with adjusting the mix of citric acid in next attempt at this.
