LMAO Cloning For Dummies

So I took cuttings shortly after this thread started...so when do they go from "clone" to being in veg state...been couple months and they're not too big yet but I'm lst training...I've heard of people only vegging for like a week then going to flower...I want to take cuttings again off these cuttings but when is too soon and when is too soon to throw em in flower
Pretty much when they have the roots going. Are they just slow, or has there barely been growth? Could be that they're working hard on the roots. Have you up-potted them at all? My most common issue has been drainage lately, esp in smaller (than 20 liter) pots.
I like vegging them for 2-3 months, the better the veg growth, the better the flowering (i think), stronger shrubs, more budsites, bigger colas. If you do it right.

I took my Black Ops from seedling to 4 weeks old at 4 weeks old it was 15 inches tall I chop the first 5 inches off of the top of the plant like most people would for topping just a lot extra I took all this extra nodes off the leaves the nodes and pushed it into a pile of dirt with some rooting hormone built it a little humidity Dome out of a 2 L bottle cut the bottom of it off and put the plant in a little cup inside the bottom made a couple slits in the top and then slit them over put a piece of clear tape on it sealing it closed left 2 L bottle cap off to let fresh air in constantly today she seems to like it even more I may try to do this with more clones use just the tops for clones
Man, that black ops is haunting me.
1) did ya have it under lights?
2) did ya foliar feed it 2x daily?
I've been thinking about rooting the tops that i chop. So used to just pinching off the top node with my fingernail, and it feels like such a waste sometimes, you know? (Note to self: you cannot grow everything. You don't have space. Stop planting EVERYTHING).
Curious to see what she does.

They're growing a couple of em are smaller than others...I was gonna put them in flower when mom is done...basically I want to get the timing right to be able to put clones in when flower cycle is done and just have a continuous cycle that way

You could still do that. I'd focus more on the bigger ones, maybe do a bit of foliar feed to speed them up a bit. That way, you could flip the bigger ones (or one of them), let the smaller ones catch up & still have a little practice harvest while you wait. That's one reason i did the winter grow, kinda trying for a continual harvest type scenario. (Also, back-up bud for just in case. I got pretty much wiped out of my spring 'stash' making a big load of meds, so it was need rather than want, but it's a nice safety to have). Relax. Plants/clones can stay in veg for months, even years (photo, not auto), cause you contol the sun (lights). Maybe High will have a clearer idea. ☮

Yea was gonna veg for couple months and let em get as big as the mother plant was when I threw her in flower and I do foliar feed twice a day...on a side note the lower leaves on mom in flower are drooping bad and the 5gal pot is kinda light...I water 10oz everyday

Hard to tell in the pics but it's almost like she needs watered...the very top leaves are standing proud tho so idk
High helped you with the water, right? He might have a better plan re that. Stick your finger into the grow medium as far as it'll go, and feel the moisture close to the stem. They suck up nutes like crazy in the last bit, putting that energy into the buds. She might need a lil more water, but the lower leaves might be dying off as harvest approaches, which is completely normal. It's a bit hard to tell, like you said.

Yes he did.... she feels dry...trichs are still clear so I figure she still has a while...thanx for the help I just don't wanna get this far and kill her...she's looking and smelling so nice

I'd say you're in the clear, you worry too much to kill her.
Maybe give a bit more water, idk how much more, i work in metric, cause oz & gallons are mucho confusing to a pawpaw like me. Water a bit, wait 1 hr, stick finger in soil, repeat until it's not dry anymore.

Yes I have it under a thousand watts of compact fluorescent lighting I am full of spraying the same clone and the mother I am taking it from because the tip top of the plant is so hard to actually clone and get to live I did use rooting hormone place it in a medium inside a cup cut the two liter bottle and half at the bottom put the cup in there put the bottle back on tape it and leave the top off of the bottle this way the humidity and air can go in and out without the plant having to worry about it is exposed to the air at all times but stays moist inside the two liter bottle I will show progress on as clone as it goes it is around at 90% chance for it to survive I do lose some doing this this way after rated there more vigorous and ready to go just as if you took it from a Seedling because it's already ready to go up and not out this is just one of my little secrets that I like to play with and do hope you all enjoy

If you want to put your flower plant and press it a little harder or your veg plants and press them a little harder let me know and we will go over a little bit of a heavier nutrient schedule for them plus like Mary Anna said folage spray can do your plants a lot of help especially when they don't have roots even after they have words it's good to spray them all the way up to they are getting ready to go into flowering this helps and me bad bacteria disappear and beneficial bacteria peer on the leaves helping to make a coating for protection dust dust mites mites and spider mites and aphids and so on

The reason for your plan on doing this as a couple different reasons 100 leaves at the bottom of the plant are suffering from lack of Light which is normal once you get to about the 3-4 week Mark on flowering you will start to lose those leaves your plant will naturally D foliage itself your plant looks healthy your leaves are not bad they are just drooping it's slowly reducing the energy that it puts into your leaves and putting it into buds this is the action that you are seen please let me know if you do not understand this and I will find an easier way to explain it

I will not let you kill your plant and instead of sticking your fingers in the top of the soil I prefer to go to the holes in the bottom of my pot considering all water flows down if the bottom of the pot is still moist than the plant has still plenty of water and it's not sitting in a swamp

Cool thanx I will check the bottom when she wakes up in couple hrs...since they ain't getting light should I remove those slowly each day or just ride it out

I know the last time I watered her about lil under half gallon ....it was like as soon as the water went in it started draining out the bottom...that was about a week ago...

Well bottom seemed try...hard to tell thru the small holes...I drilled a bunch of em tho...so I gave her about a 1/4 of a gallon and it started coming out the bottom instantly

If dry on the bottom you can start to give her a little bit more water until she starts to recover but best only water when she is dry this keeps from overwatering

And I would let the leaves ride because they still have energy in them at the plants can use as it starts to turn them yellow and they die getting crispy then you can remove them this will leave the plant with as much energy to produce buds as possible

Just coming out the bottom after you start pouring it in start giving it little amount of the water until it holds it the first couple of them may run a run through but after that it should start to soak it up

I went to 10oz a day...and I would think that if it drains right away then usually that means the soil is at least moist? I would think if it's like totally dry it would take a while to start draining ...idk I just don't wanna lose her
