Moira is still looking really healthy. She was also looking really bushy again so she got another defoliation. I took a handful from underneath the canopy, including a few buds that were just sucking energy. I took another handful from the canopy to open her up again.

I don't consider them 'in flower' until I see white hairs coming from the ends of the buds. Sixteen days is a long time to wait for flowers, but I'm hoping she will be worth the wait. She sure looks like she's ready to pop open some big flowers any time now :)

The oil-filled radiators work pretty well in an insulated room with the door closed, but if there's always cold air replacing the warm it's hard for them to keep up.

Thanks for reminding me Chase, I have one of those in the basement that I wasn't using. I bought it up to my office, it will work much better than what I was using.

I mixed up three gallons of flower nutrients for Moira yesterday morning. I'm now using Megacrop 1-part (MC), Sweet Candy (SC), and Epsom-Magnesium Sulfate (MgS). For early flower (first three weeks) per gallon: 5.5MC+.5SC+.5MgS = 131N-654P-202K-124Ca-58Mg-75S). I'll pH at each feeding to keep it 5.8-6.2pH.

Do you want to see how hard it is to add nutrients in the vGrow swick base? I mix my nutrients in a 1G jug (or fill a 1G jug to take it upstairs), and then just flip it over and empty the jug in the base.

I went ahead and marked yesterday as day# 1 of flower. Sure, the flowers hadn't really opened yet. She's in flower, though, and starting to stretch. Although I haven't plucked leaves in a couple of days, I plan to keep taking leaves all through stretch to make sure she doesn't get too bushy.

I'm pretty sure she's about to take care of all that. They just seem to know how to morph to a situation from my observations. Stoned observations, but it happens in my crowded grows all the time.:) I have to help then but they play right along.

Those leaves at the front are already planning their escape, and one day you're going to walk in the office and find the sides bulged out on that box!

Moira got another gallon of nutrients today, only two days after her last fill-up. I have a feeling I'll be mixing her nutrients in 5G batches soon :) This morning she was a sea of green from wall to wall, with leaves bending on every side.

With her canopy dominated by big fan leaves again she got another trim. I removed a few branches that were not going to make the canopy and a couple of suckers. Then I got rid of a handful of fan leaves. I find a place in the canopy that is really dense, then I dig down and find the lowest big leaf. I also remove anything growing under the first net. Finally, I remove some of the canopy leaves, especially those growing toward the middle of the plant. Once again she is opened up. I need to get better about taking a couple fans every day.

I understand the need Vivosun is attempting to fulfill but I believe the box would be a lot more useful if its dimensions were 2x2 instead of 18in x 18in.

Also, IMHO, that built-in ruler would be more useful if the zero point was in line with the top of the SIP base.

I'm very interested to see how this thing fills up in flower and what type of harvest I can get.

The kit comes with a 3G pot and coco. When using their kit the 'zero' on the ruler should be the top of the coco. With mine it's very close. This way the ruler measures the height of the plant from the top of the coco.
