It has been a bit cool in the tent this week but not too bad. I removed the humidifier and just put a towel in a pan of water. So far the humidity has been good.

Not much of an update this week. I watered Abby and Jenny in Thursday, and Betty on Friday. Everyone got a full feeding of @Prescription Blend nutrients and they are loving it.

They were all really dry and not very happy with me. Here is a picture right after Jenny and Abby were watered and were looking sad and droopy:

And here is a picture 24 hours later looking much better:

I am still trying to LST to keep them as flat as possible but I am running out of room in this 32x32 tent. Hopefully the 48x48 tent opens up soon.

Abby is coming along nicely and looks like a Christmas wreath. She has been topped twice and has all of her buds LSTed to the outside.

Betty is still a few bit behind the others but is catching up quickly. I am trying to train her around the pot but we will see how she ends up.

Jenny was fimmed and then LSTed. I was able to pull her back into shape this week and she is rounding out nicely. Not much is tied up right now and I am letting her bush out little bit. She has been a strong grower and shows no signs of slowing down. I will do more LST later this week if I have the room.

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Happy Growing.

Dang! Awesome!!!
Thanks BG. I am still playing with the cameras and they can be tricky. This one is with 10min frames. BTW, occasionally the timelapse will just stop recording. The only way to know is to check the Wyze 'album'. If there is a new video there, your timelapse has stopped recording and you need to restart it. I lost the entire stretch of my first grow learning this :(

Happy Growing.

The towel in the pan of water has been doing a fantastic job of keeping humidity up in the tent, as long as I keep water in the pan :) The room is 35-40% humidity and the tent is staying 15-20% higher.

Abby and Jenny needed water again yesterday after only 4 days. Betty is not far behind.

They will need to go into their 5g pots soon and go over to the 4x4 tent. I am doing what I can for LST but do not have much more room in this tent. I am hoping the 4x4 will be ready in a week or two. Until then I will let them bush up a bit and fill in some vertical space.

I took a couple of leaves from the middle of Abby that were blocking bud sites and she is really taking off.

Betty is still really short but has a lot of bud sites shooting up. Her stalk and branches are really think, and the nodes are tightly packed.

Jenny is a beast and is shaping up nicely. I keep picking a few leaves here and there to keep her opened up.

The last accidental Kini clone (KC3) is in reveg. She will be going over to my brother's tent this weekend.

Happy Growing.

Thanks BG. Yea I am running out of room quickly. Not quite as much as Liv ;)
I expected my first grow to be done by now and the 4x4 to be ready. Hopefully I can get by in this tent for another week or two.

Weekly temperatures

The temperatures on the east coast have been really weird for the last couple of days; very warm and wet. Today is highs in the 60s. Big change tonigh, though, as rain turns to snow with a high of 35 tomorrow. I am keeping the basement somewhat cool & dry for the ladies in flower. That means these girls are a bit cool as well, although I cam keeping the humidity good. They are really going to like the big tent (and light) when they are moved.

Not much to report this week. All of the girls are drinking every 3 days now so not long before the up-pot to 5gal. I am thinking the flower tent will be ready in about 2 weeks so these girls will have to crowd the veg tent until then.

Abby was topped twice and LSTed to the outside. Her inside buds are growing well and she is really filling in. I did more LST today to stretch her out and plucked a few inside leaves, but at this point I am going to let her grow vertical a bit.

Betty was LSTed to the ground very young and I have continued to pull the apical stem lower. Her stems are huge
and her nodes are very tight. I tightened up her LST and plucked a couple of leaves to try to keep the middle open.

Jenny was fimmed and has also been LSTed. I am trying to spread her out as much as possible. She is a fast grower with large leaves. I picked a small pile of leaves off her, mostly purple stems or inside leaves. I am trying to keep her from bushing out too much before I can move her to the big tent.

All of these girls are a beautiful color and growing really well. I can't say enough about the @Prescription Blend nutrients and how easy this grow has been since I started using them. Right now I am mixing 4 gallons at a time and bubbling to keep them mixed. I use the nutes with every watering (every 3 days now) with about 5-15% runoff.

I plan on making clones when I flip these girls to flower and decided to play around with the DWC cloner. So I took the tops from Jenny and Abby (along with one stem from Lorraine in flower), dabbed on some CloneX gel, and put them in the cloner with a 500ppm CloneX solution. All of them except one (the shortest - only about 1") rooted!

I gave the last Kini clone (KC3) and most of the clones to my brother. I kept the shortest clone in the DWC cloner to see how long it will live in there. I also kept Lorraine's clone, which I plan to take back through reveg. It was a great experiment and I feel much more confident taking clones from these girls for my next DWC grow.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy holidays and wish everyone a very happy 2022 filled with bountiful harvests!

All looks great @LKABudMan !
Those are some fluffy girls. They look happy
Thanks @cjsbabygirl313 & @HappyHazmat88 . Yes, they are very happy girls and they love their @Prescription Blend . They will be much happier next week when they get to move to the 4x4 with the 400w LED. I will be able to bump the temps up some as well. Then I will see if I can fill a scrog in the 4x4 with these three plants :)
How are you liking it compared to hydro so far? Those plants look amazing!
Thanks @PlanetJ That is a tough one to answer. Hydro was my first grow ever so I was constantly scared I was going to wake up to dead plants. Now I pluck a few leaves every time I water and know that the plants will be fine. I am planning my next grow in hydro, so ask me again after that ;)

Happy Growing.

Winter storm Frida hit us hard Monday morning. We got 12" of heavy wet snow in about 4 hours along with 40mph wind gusts. We could hear trees snapping all around us and lost power at around 9am. It has now been over 3 days and we are still without power. I do have a generator and have been using it to keep the plants lit during the day. That only lasts about 12 hours, though. I have been putting two LED flashlights in the tent the rest of the time to try to keep them from flowering. Will it work? We will see.
It has been pretty cold in the basement as well, down to 50f. The plants are not drinking nearly as much but they still look ok. Hopefully we get power back soon.
On the bright side, I was able to harvest my first grow in the past couple of days. That means that as soon as I get power I can move these girls into the 4x4 and get rocking! After all of this, the 400w LED and 75+ temperature will be like a day at the beach :)
