LKABudMan Gets Skunky Under The VSF6450 - Sponsored By Vivosun

Welcome back to the Bud Factory! I started growing a little over a year ago in a Vivosun 4x4 kit with the VS4000. I've learned a lot through those grows, with the help of the members on this site. This will be my 5th grow in the tent (named "The Bud Factory"), but only the first full grow with my new VIVOSUN VSF6450 Foldable LED Grow Light. Thanks again @VIVOSUN for sponsoring this journal. I'm looking forward to filling this 4x4 tent and getting even growth wall-to-wall. Then I'll unleash the 645 watts of sunlike awesomeness.

This will be my 3rd grow using this RDWC system. So far I've only grown clones in the RDWC for the uniformity, but this time I'll be growing four plants from seed. I'm hoping they're all going to play nicely with the same res ;)

I'm not sure what nutrients I'll be using on this grow. I'll be starting with Megacrop in veg, but I'll probably switch in flower. Right now I'm deciding between Remo and Prescription Blend. I have one supercharged kit from Remo but I'm not sure if that's enough for all of flower. If not, I have plenty of PB on hand ;)

And now it's time to get skunky...

I'll be using the VIVOSUN VSF6450 Foldable LED Grow Light for the entire grow for the first time. I love how this fills the 4x4 perfectly, and can't wait to see what it can do for an entire grow.

Full-Spectrum Sunlike Lighting: Designed with optimal light-spectrum coverage using 2142PCS Samsung 3030 (6500K) lights and 84PCS 660nm Osram 3030 lights in the white, warm white, red, and far-red light spectrums; The 660nm diodes improve photosynthesis and are most beneficial during blooming and flowering; Blue light promotes plants’ germination and when combined with the red lights leads to higher yields.

Foldable Design & Detachable Ballast: The grow light can be folded up to 180° making it easy to install or store and thus keeping your room tidy; It comes with a detachable ballast and a 9.8ft. long power cord with 120V America NEMA 5-15P plug; Mounting the ballast outside the tent or away from the light can reduce ambient heat and extend your light’s service lifespan.

Dimmable & Uniform Lighting: Comes equipped with a dimming knob with 6 levels of light intensity ranging from 0% (off), to 40%, 50%, 60%, 80%, and 100%; The light bar design has IP66 water prevention, benefits from heat dissipation, and enables uniform light density throughout the plant canopy at all stages of growth.

High Efficiency & Stability: With Samsung 3030 & OSRAM 3030 and the Inventronics driver, this grow light achieves 40% higher PPFD than HID lamps and delivers high-efficiency (2.8μmol/J) LED light with low power consumption (645W) for real energy savings; Ideal for efficient and effective gardeners and specialists.

Daisy-Chain-Ability: The daisy-chain ability allows connections of up to 160 lights in a series — simply control the main light with a VIVOSUN controller to dim or brighten all the lights in the series; We offer you a digital timer to control/preset the light, making it easy if you are not home; It can be used for indoor planting, grow tents (perfect for 4’ x 4’ or 5’ x 5’), hydroponics, gardens, and commercial cultivation in large rooms.

I'm here BudMan...and there! :)

I`m in like Flynn! Thnx fer the invite, I'll start rolling.

Quick little warning from current experience: Really consider high-grading and matching your seedlings carefully. They`ll be sharing feed a long time. My current grow I had a seedling that was obviously very fast and intense grower from the start. Even though I germinate my seeds into a waiting 'light apocalypse' to avoid stretch, she stretched anyway. Big signal. But, I`d only germ`d two of the same strain to go in my shared SIP res. and I thought my matrix, Promix-like with wormcastings, would smooth things out (compared to DWC). Why? I have no idea. Didn`t work. You`ll note your other Vivosum thread I just posted a pic of my canopy and the plant bottom right is cooked. She has a metabolism so active she can`t handle elevated EC levels, I maxed out at 1-1.1 for transition, but it cooked her hard. A sacrifice of weight and quality so that I would learn to only grow well matched seeds or clones in shared res, regardless the grow matrix. *sigh* Just trying to help.

Totally stoked for your outside support and personal gung-ho-ness. You're a doer mate. I like it. Let's rip one off waterfall bubbly-style.
