Light Addict: LA's Perpetual Garden

Were almost ready to do a big first defoliation. Plants are happy, temps are staying in the green. Even though it's very hot over here in blighty at the moment.
Have a cpl of pics

Awesome before pics! Psyched to see the after defol ones!

LA may I ask if rH is managed with just the inflow and out flow fans?
I don't even look to be fair (even though I've an rh meter inside). I can guage it pretty well when I'm opening up the wee space, just from experience. But I've not felt anything I'm worried about.
I did put extra intake and outtake vents in a while back. So I've 2 in and 2 out, all fan powered.
I will be adding 2 small pc fans inside shortly just to keep air movement up whilst in flower.

Defoliation done. Got lazy as I've been throughout this attempt. Got so much going on in private life it's daft. Police still fucking my life over hard and could lose everything at any point. Plus my parents and the issues I spoke about before. So I've given this grow probably 5% of what I'd normally.
Yet I'll bodge my way through till the end and hopefully still Inspire some small space grow folks along the way.
I'll have to do crossover limb placement training to finish things off as, yet again I'm out of room.
When I said I'll go all out for space I meant it. Have some pics 😂

Jeez. You’re close man, wow. So I suppose this defoliation becomes a periodic chore in this set up being so close to the lights?

I went early and got lazy in my approach this time. Normally with a heavy canopy of foliage, I would do the strip in 3 stages.
Basically nodes develop at different stages along the vertical growth. Top tier nodes develop first due to light penetration. I like the new nodal growth to develop own foliage before defol. The first strip gives more light to second level down and lets them develop before second defol. Then same again for 3rd wave.
As I've got so much going on in private life, I just went in one go, so lower nodes haven't developed as I'd like.

I'll train things up to drop level in the next week.

Further defol will only happen 2-3 times through flower. This will just help keep RH down and light penetration up.

Thank you! Interesting. I’ve always gone with the “gradual picking” defol methodology, based on the thought that if I spread it out over the life of the cycle, it is less shock (ie, slow down, albeit temporary) to the plant vs doing it in more or less “set” times.

Yep many do. Although always making sure that new nodal growth has minimum of an inch worth of foliage to drive its own growth forward, before taking corresponding fan leaf off is the key to never slowing flower site development down.
Plant shock I always found minimal with defol. Feed/watering temps cause more shock than defol in my opinion, as many folks forget to bring watering temps up to similar of the root zone prior to feeding.

Agreed. I love the wait til new growth has an inch on its own before moving forward rule. Yoink! Thanks for that.

Just dropped: lemon citron, velvet octane and a raspberry diesel for next run. (All by HSO)
I've not the time at mo with life's tribulations to flux this next batch so will be going down the route of my Tutt style. Basically rotating limbs into non repeatable placement and dragging down upper limbs to create a levelled out platform.
Tutt style eh? Heh. This is pretty much what I’ve done in my current grow to the tent plants. I think of it as a netless, rotating scrog.

Gert. My second plant on 420 and first POTY title. Tutt style as strain was Tutankhamen by pyramid seeds. (Strongest strain on earth that year),

This is quick. Depending on size wanted I can produce a banging girl this way with 4-6 weeks veg from topping. I top at node 6 for this style.

that's fantastic for the canopy cover and production. when training aggressive it added about 2wks veg time from a "normal" 4wks. it's amazing to see what you do with that window.

Worst bit was as she took about a year to grow. I had my landlord visit twice

Oof I’ve had similar. Thankfully it hasn’t happened in flower but it’s still a pain. I have a 4’x4’ light mounted to the ceiling in the attic with 2 gorilla tents cannibalized and rehung to fit my odd shaped room. I run 2 extensions cords from downstairs in the laundry room to upstairs in the attic so I have 2 separate circuits. Everything is taped down and strapped up nicely so it’s not in the way of anyone or even that noticeable.

I grow organic so I also have a separate room where all my amendments, bins, soils, containers, etc. are. I am typically spread out in that area as well since that’s where the majority of the heavy lifting, mixing and building is done.

Having to break all of that down and hide everything is such a pain in the butt that last time I didn’t even let him go upstairs. I said my wife has all her stuff laid out so he’ll have to check it another time. It worked but he rescheduled to come back so I eventually had to take it down.

Damn…just when I think I’m pretty good at something….

I almost killed that girl off lol. I'm a little hung up on the visuals of a plant, the symmetry etc, so if you notice from the one shot taken from above. On the right side in the middle, she's missing an end main colas. I genuinely came within a split hair of scrapping her off.
I was gutted and almost trashed her in start of flower when I snapped her limb.

I'm currently working on a new type of design for a 1 plant girl to fit my wee space. No fixed scrog or screen but similar methods to Gert, just tweaked as.... Well I want another plant of the year from a micro spot (as that's a challenge).

Then, well fuck it, I'm gonna have to go big again with something to top the Deathstar (not for anything on here).
Just this time it's because I'm pissed... This next big sculpture is gonna be political and left out in public lit up on a flatbed for the press to find after a tip off.
I'm fed up with the state of Cannabis regulation here in the UK. So I've vowed to use my daft crap talent to try and make a statement for change.
It will be coordinated with a few other things I'll be planning with my friend who's the head of all UK canna associations.
So if I can make it that far without the police locking me up it'll be worth the watch.

May be daft, may get me seeing prison time. Yet I'm now stepping my whole presence up to try make a change. Some buggers got to.

There is so much political BS and lying to the public going on in these times. I'm in a similar country that's anally retarded when it comes to being able to grow a few plants for health.

I am glad to see some of the pics of your plants are being displayed, because over the years they've become hidden under everyone's more recent stuff, and I think many people just don't realise what wonderful amazing and inspirational plants you have created.

Thanks for sharing your methods and all the best!
