I’ve been checking the trichomes of my Pineapple Express and it’s now ready for harvest. I’m probably going to give it the chop one night this week. It’s the smallest plant in the tent so should give a good indication of how close to the target yield I’m going to be. Smells sweet with an earthy background and as much as I’ll miss having this plant in the garden I can’t wait to try its bud!

The rest of the flower tent is nearing the end now. One more res change each and I’ll probably cut the heating in the tent to really try and bring the burgundy colours out in the French Macarons.

The G13 x Blueberry Headband Bud is now swelling up and getting more tempting by the day.

Thanks MrS. I’ve checked the PE again tonight and I’ve decided to give it a few more days to make sure it’s ready. I think I’m going to get lucky and both the FMs will completely change colour by harvest time.

Seedlings are all doing fine. Not much else to report. Feels like the calm before the storm!

Hey 420. I’ve started giving what will probably be their last reservoir change in the flower tent today. The signs are starting to show that the end is approaching as the plants start to sag under the weight of their own bud. I’ve started to use the plant yo-yos and I’ve now switched the heating off during lights out in the hope of bringing the fall colours out. Here are the individual reports.

G13 x Blueberry Headband
This plant really has started to shout look at me. Being sat next to the sweet frosty covered bud of the Pineapple Express and the tantalising purple French Macarons I thought the buds on this plant may have lacked a little “je ne sais quoi”. Early on there was no comparison with trichome production but this strain has the longest flowering time of the bunch and over the last week she’s really starting to sparkle. The smell has become deeper and I’m getting a fruit background but still can’t help but think of the Fat Banana I grew recently. Starting to need support and I think has the potential to produce double the yield of the other plants.

Pineapple Express
I may have jump the gun when I said this plant was ready during the week. I couldn’t find as many ambers trichomes when giving a thorough check yesterday and I decided to give her a few more days. Today I’ve noticed she’s pushing more white pistils and each day the branches are gradually lowering under the weight of its buds so I think it should be worth the wait.

French Macaron # 1
This strain is just oozing quality and I’m so glad I’ve got two different phenos to harvest. This first plant is the savoury, earthiest of the two. Its going to be a bad plant for trimming but the thought of how good the bubble hash is going to be should help ease the pain! Lol. No ambers yet and is in need of the help of a few yo-yos now.

French Macaron #2
If I could only grab one bud from the garden it would definitely be a top bud from this plant. It’s smell is insanely good, very sweet, bakery and gassy at the same time. The buds have huge calyxes and the colours just get me dribbling every time I’m in the garden.

Squeezed the remaining fluffy lower bud from the Northern Lights x Big Bud tonight. This rosin has such a lovely flavour. I’m getting apple or fruit crumble on the exhale.

Mine was an auto and I topped it once then let it grow. I didn’t give it hardly any attention to the point of neglect and it still produced at least 4 zips of tight buds and a shit load of fluffy lowers I’ve squished into rosin. You’ll push some good numbers out of them Peter.

Cheers mate. I’m not sure which version I had? I’ll have to check back but it’s got a lovely buzz to it. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you think of the French Macaron. It’s one of my favourites now. Flavour is so moorish.
I think I might have to take a break after this next Exotic Genetix run. Going to be moving home and hopefully starting a more permanent grow space where I can think about breeding and keeping mothers.
