Let's Attempt A 1lb Grow!

I see the start of flowers!
Me too brother me too I thank you so much for this opportunity I cannot wait to show you big ass buds they're starting to get a gallon of water each now next watering! I've been giving them three quarters of a gallon I'd really like to get them two lights that way my tent will be evenly.

Putting it together one piece at a time on its way Sunday just one for now so that way that one light will go from 110 watts to 220 and then I can move the 110 Watts for my clone box!!! Mega upgrade for my grow tent now that we both be evenly!

Bumping the light from 320 to 400w is a 25% increase and not advisable to do in one go.

i jump from 200 in veg one day to 600 next in the flower space. i do run at 75% at first so it's closer to 450. i'm dropping 18/6 to 12/12 though. by wk 3 - 4 flower from flip i'm usually up to 90% where it sits to the end, and i've never run flat out.

if they struggle initially i'll pull the light back to 65% at first, they pretty much grab it quick and go though.

So you're doubling the wattage, reducing it by 25%, and cutting the hours by 30%! That is exactly the slow transition I'm talking about.
I'm sorry bro I don't understand none of that language you talking about plus my lights only goes from either 50 to 100% so there's no 25%. Also I can't cut no hours they're already at 12:12

That was directed to bluter, not you! Put the new light in at 100% but I'd lift it 18" higher than the current one.

Ideally you would use the Photone app to measure what the old one is putting out now and make sure the new levels are the same. Then you lower the light 2" a day until the numbers are the same under both lights.

i wasn't sure if you were taking the reduction in hrs in to the calculation.

sorry, we went off on a side and confused you. i was trying to figure out how shed was calculating the exposure.

what you want to look at is total watts available at 100%. two lights doubles it. then you have to take in to account total hours of exposure.

to simplify i normally recommend doubling the wattage between veg and flower. if you run dimmers on your lights never run them past 90-95%. this isn't to reduce intensity, it's for economy. it will nearly double the useful lifespan of your light by reducing how hard the individual emitters need to work.

Oh sorry, I didn't because he's already at 12/12.

i wasn't sure if he was at flower or transitioning. either way it's a good decision.
