Lem's 2015 Indoor/Outdoor/Anywhere It'll Grow Journal

Bapple, how about the pic you posted on the last page in Con's Journal. That's not your plant? If not your Lucky cause that plant is covered in spider mites. TOAST

It is my plant! I see the spider web, but I can't see anything on the leaves or underneath them...about to go back down with a magnifying loupe to see if I can see anything. Please point out exactly what you can see cos I have no experience with spider mites.... Can spider mites co exist on a plant that also has ladybirds living on her?

Thanks Lem :thanks:

Hello again Lem :ciao: (she said breathing heavily) just got back from having a look with a magnifying glass and also with Bapple the Younger who has younger eyes, we can't see anything. Perhaps the violent overnight storms washed them off..... All we found were ladybirds irritated at being disturbed. I also googled images of what the leaves look like during the different stages of infestation and all the leaves on my plant are green and vibrant or fading, but no spots, no holes, no browning, no white powdery residue and no signs of anything hanging underneath the leaves or in the stem joints.

You scared the bejesus out of me Toast! :thedoubletake: every gardener hates the Borg - I better go and roll a recuperative fattie.

You guy's aren't going to believe this. But it is me. So..... There are three possibilities, Rouge Tasmanian Devil, Crop Circle, or Mini Tornado. I went to water my Tree House and found this:

Absolutely nothing was harmed:

The only thing is that when I was setting the plants back up, the bottom separated from the frame finely after 20 years.

So I will be carting those suckers back down the hill in the next few days. TOAST

I have to ask here as this is my favorite journal. To the guys that follow this and lem who grow in pots outdoors, do you also do the ph upping and downing shit with the water like indoors and use special water like distilled or RO, or do you just water the plants in your pots with your garden hose?

Never adjusted PH in my life...

Remember guys I am talking about pots here, not straight into the ground, otherwise I am sure you understood correctly. So that's good to hear. I have rain water I catch up in a 200 liter container and well water too. Don't know which one to use, but the well water is much easier to get.
