in a few weeks. i want to go threw and bomb the room for bugs and then clean the room and walls real good. ive learn the hard way, that a clean room is a happy room. fu%ken spider mites.
spider mites is right. I despise the lil'bastards, but got a lot of respect for their drive to thrive and survive.....
Peace
Fu@kin spider mites is right. I didnt know that you had problems with them again this round. I had a friend come over and he has mites awefully bad, well some must have took a ride with him cuz the got right to work in my garden. 4 treatments later, 2 separate pyrethium treatments and 2 separate heavy neem oil doucheings took care of'em. Lil'Fackers are surviviors though i'll tell ya what. I despise the lil'bastards, but got a lot of respect for their drive to thrive and survive.....
Peace
i didnt have any mites this time, i only had them on my last grow but got rid of then real fast. i was just saying a clean room is a happy room, so now i clean my walls and room real good to prevent them from ever coming back.
Good man, cleanliness is next to godliness!
Cant wait to see that new 600w from Mikes company in action....
I think I figured out her marketing/selling tactics. Check it out,
She makes a new light and gives it out to a select few for testing (just like her first gen. and now just like her 2nd gen.), it starts off to an awesome start because it vegs nicely, and sales are booming. Then bloom comes around and things start to fall off, slow down ext. She spends some time reinforcing her claims and before she is completely discredited she makes a new light. Then it starts all over, she sends them out to get tested, they veg nicely, sales boom and she sells alot and then things start to fall off again because of bloom and then she makes a new light, or at least she says its a new light. I bet some serious cash that this wont be her last new light design come the next 6 months once her 2nd gen light is ran through its paces.
Hi Mike! Thanks for donating this panel for testing purposes, and we all look forward to the results!
To put our minds at ease and give us more confidence that your product is finally 'the one', and that purchasing one of your lights will be a good decision, also please answer the following:
-----
1) Your lights previously had 60 degree angles, similar to a well-known company; then suddenly you changed them over to 90 degrees. What data, information, or other impetus prompted this change? If you could be specific, that would be great.
2) It is well known that a typical 3W (700ma) rated LED is less efficient than a 1W (350ma) LED, and that the total lumens produced from one 3W emitter is less than that provided by even 2 1W LEDs, let alone 3. What is your rationale for using 3W LEDs, provided that running more 1W LEDs at the same total wattage will produce significantly more light?
3) You now have a 5 year warranty and 120 day money back guarantee. Does this cover all defects, drop-outs, and other issues, and do you pay for shipping both to and from your repair location while fixing your product at no charge? And, do you carry enough stock in country for replacement fixtures and interim lighting needs? Is all repair work done in-house by your own personnel?
4) Do you have a store or shopfront, like Haight Solid State, that we can visit in California, or do you drop ship everything from your manufacturer directly like Hydro Grow LED?
Thanks for your time.

[begin rant]
I can attest to the return issues when ordering directly from China, folks. There is a place in the LED market for a decent US-based supplier/facilitator where good service and warranty is desired, provided the product performs as expected. Whether simply for peace of mind, ease of transaction, and the like - many would agree.
It takes more time, effort, and $$$ than many people think to set this kind of business up correctly; if you haven't actually done it yourself, you simply don't understand. I've set up a couple of businesses from scratch, and they all take work. And many little things eat away at your margins (and they all add up) bricks and mortar-based or otherwise - credit card transaction fees/ebay/paypal, sales/customer service, warranty and repairs, rental/retail/warehousing, utilities, property management, employees/benefits, etc. - and holding reserves for all of the above.
Keeping all those fees in check while being able to offer your product/service for a price the market is willing to pay for, and still have decent net margins to feed your family with, can be a fine balancing act. If you don't believe me, try it. And a small business owner can spend a lot more time working in their business than on it, if they're not careful. But the consumer generally doesn't know or care about any of that, or care about the business owner(s) needs - just their end price for the transaction.
It's a two way street, folks.
The question in most people's minds are: what is an acceptable profit ('that I'm willing to pay') for offering that (i.e. good service, and a proprietary/unique design (i.e. intellectual property - defensible or not) and color spectrum for LED that actually works?)
Some folks believe that all businesses and businessmen are inherently evil, they only care about their profit, and that any money they make is somehow ill-gotten. I say bullshit. The ones who do (which are the ones who typically show up in the evening news) just end up making it easier for the majority of good, honest business people to develop a core business and long-term, loyal customers.
The recent talk about going direct aside, I do see a value here for that type of company with LEDs, wherever the product is ultimately manufactured. And if the costs are right, I would definitely consider buying from them.

Be glad to answer your questions. Id also like to thank Irishboy for doing this after all the sh.. hes been through thanks man! I would also like to say hello to everyone and thank you guys for giving led's another chance considering all the crazy a$$ claims going on and no one has pulled through yet.
Thank you guys.
First I want to start off by letting everyone know I am not a scientist, I am a grower and I have designed my light to grow and grow very well. The way I see it if I cant get my led panels to at least produce what MH/HPS does watt for watt then they are useless to me. Ill be damned if I spend a grow cycle and end up with anything less than what HPS/MH would give me.
So on with the questions:
1. I went from 120 to 60 then to 90
120 degree lens spread the light out to much for my taste and didnt penetrate well.
60 degree did well with penetration but killed the size of my core saturation and did not allow the wavelengths to blend well as they are emitted from the light.
90 degrees along with the 3w/3 chip led's to me is like hitting the sweet spot if you ask me because the LED's penetrate very well spread the light out equally, allows the led's to work with each other by mixing the wavelengths up and has a nice core saturation.
2. 3w/3 chip led's:
Going from 1w which is what I had in my very first panels to 3w is a night and day difference. As you can see I have just as many LED's in my panels then the other w panels and with the 3w/3 chip led's I use its like having 3 1w leds in one. The brightness and intensity is unmatched by the 1w led's and after seeing the difference with my own eyes regarding the 3w/3 chip led's that was the way to go. I would have gone with 3w from the start but the wavelengths I wanted were not available.
3. My warranty is simple if the panel fails because of any manufactures defect then I will pay for shipping back to me then back to you. I do not repair these lights I send them back and you get a new one. At this exact moment I only have a small stock of lights but I am building it so that I will have all lights in stock at all times. I will say a rough estimate on having a full stock will be within 2 months. Once I have a full stock if a light fails I will ship the new one out first to the customer with a return label to send the defect back.
4. I try to keep a stock of lights which I am building right now I have a small stock of 600w and 300w panels its hard to keep the 180w and 120w right now because people usually buy the smaller sizes. But I am catching up. Either way the lights always come to me so I can personally test them before they go out to the customer.
I do not have a store front and never will. But I am looking at commercial real estate to be able to use my lights and grow various plants so people can come and see the lights in action while i supply fruits vegetables and such to friends and family, plus it will help me further research the capabilities of my led's and different plants besides cannabis.
Ill throw this out there, if there is anyone in the states that can produce a led panel to my specs hit me up at mike@growledhydro.com
Thank you 'The Lurker' for your questions hope I cleared them up for you.
and to the rest of you thanks for reading.. till next time
Hey Irish, you haven't posted dry weights yet, right?
because im moving there.. lol
