Plants are looking good!
My Led vs Flouro plants,Leds on the right
I'm confused again (my fault!). Are you flowering the two on the left under CFLs a a comparison? If so, how many watts of which color spectrum and at what distance from the plants are the bulbs? Or do you mean those were
vegged under CFLs vs. the others which were
vegged under LEDs - and that they are
all flowering under LEDs?
At first the shipping was $48.85 but when they took it to ship they added 2 boxes together to make one large enough to fit the roll of 48 inch mylar, (instead of making 2 packages) that made it over sized and added $68.14 due at pick up! I am pissed!
Yup, oversize (the shipping company's definition, but 4' generally is) is going to hurt you. It might well have been cheaper to order twice the length in a 2' width (if it was available) because the shipping would probably have been considerably less.
Those are the realities of shipping. But as for it being a surprise to you on delivery... Assuming that the place you ordered from had contact information for you, I would have expected them to contact you and discuss it. Unless they plainly stated that the shipping costs that they quoted you were only estimates of course. Or if you ordered COD and they plainly stated - again - that the figure was only an estimate.
Did you order with a credit card? If you felt that it was unfair to charge you what they did - which is to say, if you had known what the proper shipping charges would be, you would not have ordered that product - then you might have a valid gripe with your CC company. I do not know.
I also think they cheated me. I ordered a 6" "Can Fan" and got a ummarked replica that is way too loud. Like I can send it back, haha
The box it came in
If you did not receive the item that you ordered and they did not clearly state that they would substitute an alternate item if the one you ordered was out of stock, then you would seem to definitely have a valid gripe. Did your CC bill (if you used a CC) state "Can Fan?" Or do you have paperwork and/or confirmation emails stating that is what you ordered?
When I was a kid and Mom didn't want something, she would seal the box (that she had carefully opened along the glue seams instead of cutting the box) back up, write "REFUSED" on it, and take it back to the shipper or the postman. I don't know if that still works.
If I order something, they had better send what I ordered instead of something else. That is grounds for a chargeback (if there was no substitution clause). And they had better ship the item within two weeks of charging my CC. I believe they are required to do so or to credit your payment back to your account.
Good luck!
