LED Bag Seed Closet Grow

Adding the peat moss wouldnt be terrible imo... that or 50/50 peat moss perlite. Yeah 12 quarts of soil doesnt go far its why soil online has never been an option for me just lucky I have a decent brand local to me lol and thats the only decent brand at that if that disappeared id be screwed.

What brand do you use? I'm sure I've read this info in your journal but I can't recall

Good morning all! Today marks the beginning of week 6 for these babies! I figured I'd have a photo shoot with the girls this morning and do a little update. As I discovered the lack of soil to complete the transplant I decided I'm gonna go with 50-50 perlite and peat moss or coco. Whichever is more price efficient honestly. Other than that my girls are doing really well. Plant 2 has gotten really bushy and decided to start throwing new branches out everywhere while plant 1 is kinda slacking behind? They should need water today or tomorrow as today is day 3 since the last watering. Both girls have been pretty heavily defoliated as well. Neither seems to mind or show any signs of stress!

your plants look awesome! Can't wait to see how they do once you flip em, they should produce nicely!

Thanks! I'm thinking I'll give them 3-5 days once I transplant them into their new homes later today and then give em the flip! I'm thinking about slowly making the change an hour or two a day until I have them all the way to 12/12. Any thoughts on that or should I just flip em to 12/12?

I've been busy today but I just sat down and figured it out and I'm about 4 quarts short on media so I'm gonna add either 4 quarts of perlite or vermiculite. Ive already added 8 quarts of perlite to 12 quarts of soil. I didn't do any math before ordering soil and should've known that I couldn't get away with just the soil I ordered. Should I go with more perlite or should I get peat moss, vermiculite, or coco? I believe I have access to all of those alternatives

I really like the Coco and the girls love the mix! It's light and airy, mixes well with soil or compost. I found it pretty inexpensive at the local green house. I have to water at least once a day with the Coco.

Nice! They are looking so bushy and healthy! Also, I like to smoke a big gorilla finger every now and then too! ..

What's your ratio of coco to soil? Right now I'm sitting on a 60-40 mix of soil and perlite so whenever I add more or the coco it'll take it down to 50% soil, 45% perlite, and 5% coco if I add the coco. Id like for it to stay around the 60-40 mark but in order for me to not have to order more soil I'll have to make a 50-50 mix.

Yes I agree, I do 70% Coco 30% compost myself but if I were doing Coco and soil I'd do the same or 60/40

That was probably the biggest joint I've ever rolled and or smoked. Only had two heads on her too so she was a doozy

Gonna go to the store soon to get the last of the supplies for this transplant. The pots I got yesterday hold much more than 3 gal of soil a piece so I'm gonna cut them down to size (too tall) to make up for the lack of media

Hey what do you use for your LST. Are those twist ties? Do you secure them to the pot with tape?

Yeah they're twist ties from medium size trash bags. I got lucky and had them laying around lol and yes I do tape them to the side of the pot. It makes LST very simple for me even tho it may not look the best! None of them have really given me too much of a problem with coming undone. Only one or two branches did after several days

Thanks! I think I'll use them on my next girls, as I have a million twists saved! I care what works not about cosmetics;)

Agreed! Some people care about keeping everything all nice and pretty. I don't personally care as long as my girls grow the way I want them too! I got them transplanted about a half hour ago and adjusted my lights accordingly. I can't really tie them down right now as they're sitting kinda deep in the pots but as they start to grow again I'll tie them down. Medicating at the moment then I'll upload some pics of the girls in their new home! I hope they like it . I also soaked the soil with a gallon of water mixed with 2 ml of KLN by dyna-gro and 1 ml of the Pro-Tekt. Both pots got the same mix ph'd to 6.7-6.8. I'll upload a pic of my nutes too just so everyone can see the labels and ratios for reference

Be warned that if you use scotch tape it can tend to not wanna stick that well lol but going overboard and taping the hell out of it works

Hopefully the girls will like their new homes! I'm gonna give them a few days and then it's flower time! I'm stoked to see these babies finish out! I'm barely gonna need any of the nutes I purchased as well I believe. This Happy Frog soil has carried me thus far with no additions to it! Other than the KLN and Protekt today, I haven't adding anything but water to these girls!
