I can consider it but as far as I know they heat more than cfls.
CFL's will never produce over 100 lumens per watt. HPS does. That means CFL's produce more heat than light, watt per watt.
Consider the total surface area of the bulbs necessary to run 200+ watts of CFL. It's just inefficient. a 150w hps produces less heat than my 300w(130 true watt) mars panel by a longshot. It also produces 18,000~ lumens. A 23w CFL produces 1700 lumens I believe. By that math, you'll need 10 23 watt CFL's or 230 watts of CFL to be equivalent to a 150w HPS.
That means you have an extra 80 watts of electricity NOT generating light but something else(heat).
